Obituary: Richard Earl Stinson Richard Earl Stinson, 84, of Madison Heights, died , 03, 2010 at Guggenheimer . He was the beloved husband of Sammie Holley Stinson. Born 6, 1926 in Amherst , he was a son of the late Herman David and Viola Marks Stinson and was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Earl "Dickie" Stinson; two brothers, Robert Stinson and Frank Stinson and two sisters, Dorothy Riner and Margaret Compton. Mr. Stinson was the retired owner & operator of Green Valley Meat Processing and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was one of the founders and served on the Advisory Board for Hunters for the Hungry and was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Ralph Stinson of Madison Heights and Charles Stinson and wife, Irene of Forest. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. , 5, 2010 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Charles Stinson and the Rev. Dr. Paulo DaSilva officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill . The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today, 4, 2010 at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Obituary: Raymond Leonard Stinson, Sr., 79, of Lynchburg, passed away suddenly , 16, 2016. Born in Amherst on May 25, 1936, he was the son of Admire Creed Stinson, and Lelia A. Morris Stinson of Madison Heights. He is survived by his wife Joyce M. Hudson Stinson, daughter Terry Stinson Bumgarner, and husband Allan Bumgarner, and son Raymond Stinson Jr and wife Sherry Newman Stinson. Obituary: Ralph Greer Stinson, Jr., 78, of Lynchburg went to be with his Lord , 10, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Dawna Ruth Stinson. Born in Roanoke, 10, 1936, he was a son of the late Ralph Greer Stinson and Marie Sullivan Stinson. Ralph proudly served his country in the US Navy. He also served Pacific area Mission and worked for the Old Time Gospel Hour. Later he worked for Columbia Gas and retired from the City of Lynchburg. He was a longtime member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Donnie Stinson and Wayne Stinson and a nephew Stevie Clifton, preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, He is survived by one son, Brian Stinson and his wife Elizabeth of Amherst; two step-children, Lisa Sutphin and husband Jeff of Vinton and James Conner and wife Kaye of Madison Heights; one sister, Jean Isom and husband Jim of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Rick Stinson and wife Cindy of St. ine, FL; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
