Obituary: Stephen Wayne Soehngen, 25, left our world to be with the Lord on 7th 2017. Stephen fought a courageous 9 ½ year battle after an automobile accident which left him severely disabled. He lived in Ashland VA and formerly lived in Mechanicsville VA. He is survived by his parents Wayne and Ellen Soehngen and Siblings Jennifer Soehngen (Justin Dryden) and Kristijan Soehngen and his paternal grandmother Rosemarie Soehngen as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins and his nurses. Stephen attended Atlee High School and most recently Patrick Henry High School. Stephen had a passion for life, music, and all his friends. He sought to travel and learn about different people and cultures and was planning to spend his Junior year abroad at the time of the accident. The family will receive friends at the Nelsen -Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA on , 10th from 3pm to 7pm, where services will be held on , 11th 2pm. Obituary: Mabel Smith Soderquist, 96, of Stafford, VA, and formerly of Greeneville, TN, died morning, May 3, 2011, at Stafford Hospital , following a short illness. Mrs. Soderquist was a graduate of Greeneville High School and Tusculum . She was an elementary school teacher for several years at the Holston for Children. She later worked for 15 years in advertising for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She was a member of the Greeneville Garden Club, was an avid rose gardener, and for over 30 years attended painting classes at the Roby Fitzgerald Adult . Her oil paintings and needlepoint works grace many homes. Mrs. Soderquist was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Hartley Soderquist, in 2007, her sister, Oval Mitchell, and her parents, Rev. S. Guy and Edith Smith. She is survived by two daughters: Jo Ann Kramer of Essex Junction, VT, and Susan Di Bianca of Stafford, VA; five grandsons: William Kramer of Essex Junction, VT, Guy Kramer of Johnson City, TN, Samuel Di Bianca of McAllen, TX, Hartley Di Bianca of Henrico, VA, and Eric Di Bianca of Stafford, VA; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held May 9th in Greeneville, followed by a private graveside service. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm tomorrow evening, May 13th, at Regester Chapel United Methodist Church in Stafford. A memorial service will follow visitation at 7 oclock. The Rev. Dr. M. Obituary: John Socha passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside on 27, 2014. He was born on 20, 1947 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He will be missed by his wife Susan, and his daughters, Elizabeth and Emily, and his granddaughter Lily as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Robin Socha. John obtained a BS in Accounting from Concord in Athens, West Virginia. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity there and has stayed in contact with many of his brothers through reunions. He married Susan Coleman on 13, 1970 and started working at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell in Raleigh, North Carolina and became a CPA at that time. five years, they moved to Arlington, Virginia and John worked for Pepco and then for Fokker Aircraft. The years at Fokker were among the best of his life. Fokker, he worked at the FCC and retired in , 2014. John was an avid Beach Boys fan and would always try to persuade anyone and everyone to go with him to concerts. Two years ago he went to their special tour with Brian Wilson, and met all of them backstage, which was a lifelong dream. He was also a golfer and enjoyed many wonderful days on the course, even if he wasn playing well. John enjoyed the beach, being in the sun, swimming in the ocean and feeling the sand under his feet. Visitation will be on 5, 2015 from 2:00PM \ 4:00PM at Murphys funeral home in Falls Church, followed by a brief service at 4:00PM. Scattering of ashes will take place in May off Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Hospital Foundation of Arlington, Virginia. |
