Obituary: Roy Lee Sheets, 89, a resident of Weyers Cave, passed away on evening, 27, 2014 at Emeritus At Harrisonburg. He was born on 17, 1925 in a and was the son of the late Walter A. and Lena Hawkins Sheets . Roy lived the majority of his life in a and graduated from Weyers Cave High School. He was a member of the Cross Keys \ Mill Creek Ruritan Club, the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren and Calvary School Class. Before retiring, he was employed with Western Electric and AT&T for 35 years. He did extensive traveling with his career. He is survived by a brother, Nelson W. Sheets and wife, Martha, of McGaheysville; a number of nieces and nephews, Gary Sheets, Marcus Sheets, Martha Knight and husband, Joe, Jane Matheny and husband, Don, Peggy Wood, Wayne Wood and wife, Susan, Kim Schlabach and husband Rick, and Keith Sheets and wife, Jennifer; and a number of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Erma Ruth Sheets Wood and her husband, William; a brother, Calvin Sheets and his wife, Bernice; and his step-mother, Minnie Wampler Sheets. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, on , 30, 2014 at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Lee Kinsey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Private burial will be held earlier in the day at Salem Lutheran Church . Memorial contributions may be made to Mill Creek Church of the Brethren. Mary Jean was born in Gilbert, West Virginia and was predeceased by her mother, Gernia Adkins, and brothers Forrest and Herman. traveling to other states, Mary Jean settled in Norfolk where she met the love of her life and soul mate, Mark T. Sheets. Mary Jean and Mark were together for 35 years and were going to celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary later this month. In addition to her husband, Mark, she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie; grandsons, Dustin and Jonathan (Lucy); great-granddaughter, Aurora; sisters, Janice Woolwine, Lois Lester, Dorothy Albright, Phylis Hulsey and Eunice Adkins; mother-in-law Patricia A. Sheets, who she always lovingly referred to as "Mom. She is also survived by her father-in-law, T.A. Sheets, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. Mary Jean was a member of The Pythian Sisters Temple #3. Mary Jean was a beautiful and warm person who never met a stranger. She could see someone in a store or on the street and would strike up a conversation. She brought love and laughter into our lives and will remain in our hearts always. Louise Landes Sheets passed away 17, 2015 at Brightview Baldwin Park. Mrs. Sheets was born 18, 1923 in a , a daughter of the late Robert and Addie (Nichols) Landes. Louise was a member of Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church and was retired from Kings Daughters Hospital Admitting Office. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sheets was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph E. Sheets, five brothers; Ward Landes, Myron Landes, Lawrence Landes, Russell Landes and Robert Landes, three sisters, Janet Brubeck, Margaret Bright, Elizabeth Snyder, and a grandson, Chad Swepston. Survivors include one son, R. E. Sheets, Jr. of Lanexa; two daughters, Gloria Winkler of Virginia Beach, Donna Miller of Waynesboro, one brother, Kenneth Landes and wife Alma of Mount Sidney, sisters-in-law, Bernice Landes, Betty Landes, Ina Sheets and Ann Polachek of Staunton, brother-in-law Carl Sheets and wife Catherine of Churchville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
