Obituary: Colton Ray Stewart, 15, returned home to his Father in Heaven on , 12, 2008 due to complications from a serious bout with pneumonia. Born 29th, 1992 in Payson, Colton was a sophomore at Spanish Fork High School, and enjoyed all of his associations with classmates and friends. He had always planned to become a mechanic and was learning to do body and fender repairs as well as learning to weld. He was employed by Salem Automotive and had plans to attend college to fulfill his dream. He was proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was actively engaged in his church callings. He was a Life Scout, well on the way to becoming an Eagle, and had always expressed a desire to serve his Father in Heaven on a full-time mission. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, going to concerts, playing drums for his band, The Bone Yard Daddies, paint ball, playing video games with uncles and cousins, and camping, hunting, and fishing with his brothers and dad. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Angie Stewart, of Spanish Fork; Lynsey Cook (Jacob), currently of Provo; two brothers, Zackary; and Jase; grandparents, Calvin and Karen Clayson, of Spanish Fork; and Neil and Vicki Peterson, of Salem; and a great grandmother, Arlene Rodgers of Orem; a niece Gabriella; and nephew, Maxwell; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Max Lynn Stewart. services will be held on , 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork West Stake Chapel, 360 North 650 West, Spanish Fork. Family and friends may call on evening, 16, 2008 at the Stake from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or on morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City . |

Obituary: Birge Layton Stewart 1925 ~ 2010 Birge Layton Stewart, age 85, passed away 1, 2010 at the Utah State Veterans home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born 24, 1925 in Salt Lake City to LeConte and Zipporah Layton Stewart. He graduated from Davis High in 1943, volunteered for the Navy at age 17 and was stationed in the South Pacific for four years. Upon returning, he enrolled at the University of Utah graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Law and the degree of Juris Doctor. He continued in the Naval Reserve until he retired as Lieutenant Commander in 1985. He was honored to serve his county. Birge met Florine Hope Olson whom he married 26, 1954, 56 years ago. Birge was many things to many people. Loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and hero. He was awarded the Carnegie Bronze Medal for risking his life to save a fisherman from drowning in Brainard Lake, Colorado in 1959. He is survived by his wife Florine, son Mark Layton Stewart (Debbie), daughter Diane Elizabeth Stewart Heiner (Scott), grandchildren Lynn Guthrie (Misty), Ken Guthrie (Jason), Danielle Anspach (Keith), Jason Heiner, Anne Heiner, two great grandchildren Jayden and Levi Guthrie, brother Maynard Dixon Stewart and sister Mary Anna Stewart. Preceded in death by his parents, brother John Stewart and sister-in-law Helen Stewart. Birge will be remembered for his dedication to his family, friends and country. Memorial service to be held , 11, at 2:00 P.M. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Visitation one hour prior to memorial service. Obituary: Barry A. Stewart, 65, of St. George, Utah passed away 25, 2008. Barry was born 29, 1943 in Palmyra, Utah to Bert and Margaret Stewart. Barry graduated from Spanish Fork High School and served in the Army stationed in Germany. Barry worked for Geneva Steel. He married Connie Linford on May 27, 1972. later divorced.
