Obituary: Annie Leona Jasperson Young Steele returned to her Heavenly Father on Christmas Eve, 24, 2008. She was born 28, 1919 in Goshen, UT, to Stephen Johnson Jasperson and Emma Stark Jasperson. She married Glen G. Young in 1937. He passed away Dec. 1974. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Glen G. Young, son Fred Steve Young, daughter-in-law Debbie Young, sisters, Lillian Hammond Thompson, Norma Alvey, Sadie Schwab, brothers Bert Jasperson, Jack Don Jasperson. Surviving her are two grandchildren, Niki (Chris) Herrin, Glen (Maren) Young, Las Vegas, NV, 3 great grandchildren, three step children, Alice Ann Steele (Curtis) Francom, Provo, Thomas L. Steele, Orem, Wilson M. Steele, AZ. She married Thomas H. Steele Dec. 17, 1977. served several years as workers in the Provo Temple. He passed away Oct. 22, 1998. Surviving sisters, Alice Hughes Fox, Spanish Fork, Rhoda Taylor Haller, Orem. Clyde Jasperson, Payson, Ken (Barbara) Jasperson, Provo, a sister-in-law, Gloria Russell, Provo. 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank the angels at Golden Living, Orem, for their loving care. She taught handicapped children for many years, loved them and they loved her. She will be greatly missed. Services will be , Jan. 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Sunset LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 1402 South 570 West, Provo, UT. Family and friends may call from 9:30 until 10:45 AM at the church. Obituary: Shirley D. Steed passed away 2/15/2016 at 86 years of age in the presence of family. She was born 6/21/1929 in Salt Lake City to Ed Drury and Ruby Fletcher Drury. She attended the University of Utah and excelled in secretarial skills. On 4/4/1951 Shirley was sealed to Ross Richard Steed in the Salt Lake Temple. Shirley served in many positions as an executive secretary. She was dedicated to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served for several years as the chapter treasurer. Shirley used her musical talents to serve the LDS church in various callings. She was the ward organist for many years in various wards from Dallas 3rd Ward, Tustin California Ward, Georgia Ward, and later in the Valley View 5th Ward. Shirley was a part of a club of women called the Bonneville Beauties who met often for lunch dates. These special women were life-long friends from the Bonneville Ward in Salt Lake City. She is survived by children Sherrie Rose, Linda McGraw, and Lee Steed. Her remaining siblings Richard Drury in Salt Lake City and Eddie Drury in Brookings, Oregon. She has 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful hospice team from Brighton Hospice. Thank you to Miriam Beattie DNP who cared for her all these years and Debbie Poulson her hospice nurse. Obituary: Ross Richard Steed age 86 passed away 9/30/2015 in Salt Lake City. He was born 12/5/1928 in Salt Lake City to Ross Steed and Ida Howcroft Steed. He attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He married Shirley Drury on 4/4/1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. As a career man at JC Penney Co. he lived by The Golden Rule. He used his skills in accounting to help others. He was dedicated to the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and served as the National Treasurer and President of the Beehive chapter. He served the LDS church in various callings. At a young age he served in the Bishopric of the Dallas 3rd Ward. He was also a membership clerk in Tustin California. Later in Utah he served at a Financial Clerk of the Valley View 5th Ward. He always had a love of sailing and while living in Atlanta Georgia he taught himself to sail. He took his family on many sailing adventures. He was the original DIY of home repair projects. He put his family first in everything he did. He was a loving father. He is survived by his wife Shirley and children Sherrie Rose, Linda McGraw, and Lee Steed. His remaining sibling Sherman Steed resides in Littleton Colorado. He has 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the many care givers who served him at Brookdale care center with the help of the wonderful hospice team from Brighton Hospice.
