Obituary: Jonathon Robert Sorensen On 6, 2010 our dear sweet son, brother, uncle, friend, and best boyfriend ever, Jonathon Robert Sorensen left his earthly state to return to his Heavenly Father. He was born in Ft. Hood, Texas on 19, 1984 to Kyle G Sorensen and Linda M Pratt Bloomfield. Linda married Dan K Bloomfield who became Jonathon’s genuine father and mentor. This special spirit affectionately known by many nick-names such as (Joe) ( Joe Joe)( Squeal)( MoJo JoJo) has enhanced our lives by his example of compassion, patience and receptiveness of others. He befriended everyone and saw the greatness in every individual. One of the things we will truly miss is his keen sense of humor and his quick wit which kept us in constant wonderment. He had many talents which included being a culinary artist, avid long boarder, formidable X-BOX opponent which he spent many hours playing with his dad. He loved the outdoors taking long hikes with his sweetheart, Chryseis and trusted companion, Dunkan his black lab. His partner Chryseis brought him immense joy and countless hours of intellectual sparring. He was a wonderful brother to his siblings who adored him. Bailee & Hayden will especially miss the countless hours Jonathon invested in helping with homework, building snowmen, walks to the park to feed the ducks, teaching how to make brownies and cooking meals for them. Much to his big brother Greg’s chagrin Jonathon does now know the secrets of the universe before him. Jonathon was always able to lean on his big sister Lindsay’s shoulder for help and understanding concerning his trials in life. Jonathon’s legacy will live on through his family, friends and associates by embracing the true essence of life. Jonathon is survived by his parents Dan & Linda Bloomfield, sweetheart Chryseis Binkerd, siblings Kyle Greg (Brooke) Sorensen, Lindsay Marie (Corey) Beckstrom, Bailee Danyel Bloomfield, Daniel Hayden Bloomfield. Grandparents Teresa Pratt and Robert & Kay Sorensen. Nieces & nephews – Kyle Sorensen, Dyson Ferguson, Maliya Sorensen, Jaxon Beckstrom, Weslee Beckstrom, Oaklynn Sorensen. The funeral services will be held , 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Orem Lakeview 2nd Ward, 1800 South 400 West, Orem. Obituary: Jay Berten Sorensen, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, age 87, passed away 6, 2012 in Orem, Utah surrounded by family. He was born May 31, 1925 in Redmond, Utah to Arthur Lyman and Alvida Melvine Christiansen Sorensen. He married his sweetheart, Carol Campbell Sorensen, 8, 1945 in Santa Cruz, California; later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He served in the Navy during World War II. He worked for 37 years at Geneva Steel. Survived by his wife, Carol: children: Michael (Melanie) Sorensen, Brent (Debra) Sorensen, Pauline Lape, LeeAnne (Jon) Stanley; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grand children; siblings: Joyce Shields, Rawland Sorensen, Marlene (Jim) Giles, Nellie (Al) Beazer, Terry (Aletta) Sorensen; and countless other family and friend. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Thelma and Jean, brother, Gail: son-in-law, Bert Lape. Obituary: ILA LAVERNE (STOWE) SORENSEN 12 1926 ~ Nov. 23, 2014 Our dear sweet mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend crossed over on Nov. 23, 2014 with family by her side, to join the loved ones that has gone before her. She was 88 yrs. of age. Ila was born 12, 1926 in field, Utah to Velma Leona Larsen and Arthur Bernard Stowe. She married Harold Verdell Sorensen 12, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they conceived and raised 2 daughters, Terrill and Marilyn to carry on the legacy of this family. Mom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very close to getting her Temple recommend when she became ill and was not able to finish. That work will be finished for her and she will be sealed to her family. Mom worked several jobs in her lifetime from homemaker to phone operator to factory worker to secretarial. She was the 1st person in the State of Utah to receive funding from the government to care for a disabled family member at home. Look where that has gone today. She loved to care for her family, travel, read, do genealogy, listen to music and do yard work. How she loved her family and friends. She tried to attend all family and friends functions possible to show her care and love for them. She had a very kind and gentle soul. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Terrill Hope: WVC, Utah; Marilyn Kay (Richard) Aspey; Grandview, MO; 7 grandchildren, 11 great \ grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren; sister,Vonza Sleeter, WVC, UT; brothers, Garth (Betty) Stowe, Kearns, UT and Lonnie (Shirley) McDaniel, Imperial, Neb.; many nieces and nephews, and their extended families. Preceded in death by parents, husband (Harold v. Sorensen) and 4 brothers, Arthur Adis Stowe, Keith Bernard Stowe, Floyde Lee Stowe and Arthur Devern Stowe. We would like to give a special thanks and our deepest gratitude to all the staff at Hunter Hollow Facility for all their kind & loving care for the past 2 yrs. Also a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice. A viewing will be held in her honor on , Nov. 30, 2014 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Valley View , 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, and again on morning from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. services will be held on Dec. 1, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Valley View Chapel.
