Born May 1, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Florence and Albert Bud Mackintosh. Married Cecil Simpson 2, 1953. Joy was a true joy to all who knew and loved her. She loved being a visiting teacher and member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Red Hat Society. She was a very talented at Japanese Bunka needlework, quilting, and crochet, leaving many beautiful pieces to be cherished by her family. She is survived by her husband, Cecil; daughter, Cindy (Tim) Reder; son, Rock (Christy) Simpson; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol Chido. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Beverly; and brother, Ray Mackintosh. A viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. , 18, at McDougal , 4330 South Redwood Road, in Taylorsville. Born Oct 24, 1981, in Salt Lake City to Walter Charles and Vicki Simpson. Graduated from Brighton High School in 2000. Married the love of his life Erica Harrington Sept 22, 2013 in Las Vegas NV. were blessed with a beautiful son, Austin Charles Simpson on Feb 2, 2015. Jared was a devoted husband and father, who cherished every moment with his wife and son. He truly loved the outdoors and family trips. Most recently he took his family on a fishing trip to Fish Lake. He had the time of his life with his family who he loved more then words can express. Survived by his loving wife Erica, son Austin, mother Vicki, sister Jennifer, in-laws Mark and Shelli Pino, nieces Alivia and Alexis, nephew Mason, grandparents Tom and Ann Capener, and his brother by choice Austin Bennett. Obituary: "Grandma Jackie" Our beloved, sweet mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Jacqueline (Jackie) Simpson left this world on 14, 2016 after a long confinement at Woodland Park , Murray, Utah. Born Ida Jacqueline Anderson 21, 1930 to Herbert Anderson and Ida Zigahn in Salt Lake City, Utah. She lived most of her growing up years with her loving aunt and uncle, Bertha and Arthur Hutchinson. She attended and graduated from South High School. Choir was her favorite subject. She developed many life- long friendships growing up and continued to meet with her "girlfriends" throughout her life. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jackie married Edward Blaine Simpson 29, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah. made their home in Salt Lake and later in Park City and Murray. Blaine was a dental technician and owned and operated Tru-Tec Dental Lab. Jackie worked for many years helping Blaine run the lab. Jackie was a beautiful person, inside and out. She had a smile that lit up her face. She loved music and was always singing, whistling or humming a song. Her children remember her often singing "Que Sera, Sera, Whatever Will Be, Will Be" as she worked around the home. Jackie loved the sunshine and out of doors and went on many lakeside, camping and snowmobile adventures with her late husband, Blaine and their many friends. also enjoyed golf and bowling. She liked to travel and loved spending time tending her beautiful flowerbeds. Blaine passed away in 1995. In her later years she moved to the Timpanogos Village in American Fork where she went swimming daily and met with her high school girlfriends weekly to do ceramics. She volunteered at the American Fork hospital and became a faithful temple worker in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. She was always devoted to her children and grandchildren and they all loved "Grandma Jackie". She was preceded in death by her husband Blaine; parents; seven brothers and two sisters. Survived by her sister, Joyce Hutchinson Watson; her three children, Vicky (Jay) Haws, Sharon Seely (Jim Thamert), and Morry (Kristina) Simpson; thirteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the loving staff at Woodland Park for their many years of care and concern. Mom, Grandma, we love you and will miss you-but are so happy that you are now free from pain, able to move about freely, be with Dad, and so many others you loved here on earth. Services for will be held , 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah 84107. Viewings will be , 20th, from 6:00-8:00 PM and , 21st, from 10:00-10:45 AM, also at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary in Murray. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park |
