Obituary: Catherine Lona Sabin, 62, passed away peacefully in her home on 25, 2007. She was born 2, 1944 in El Paso, Texas to Sterling G. and Olive Ethel Giles Olson Noakes. She was raised in Springville, Utah and graduated from Springville High School. She was married to Kimball B. Sabin in Springville, Utah on 22, 1967. raised their family in Spanish Fork and later moved to Payson to enjoy life together. Lona enjoyed many things. She loved to sew for her children. She enjoyed painting the many wood projects her and Kim worked on together. She loved to camp and fish with her friends and family. She was a kind and gentle grandmother. Our mother worked hard to make a happy, loving home for her family. She always had time for the little things in life no matter how small. Our hope is she knows just how much she was loved and will be missed. Our family would like to thank the staff at A-1 for showing love and support to our mother during a difficult time. Special thanks to Bonnie, Krissy and Kim for knowing the little things never go unnoticed. Obituary: Ellis LaMar Sabey Ellis LaMar Sabey, our beloved husband, father, son, brother and ‘Bepa’, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on , 8th after a heroic battle with Duodenal Cancer. Ellis married the love of his life Vickie Daley on 22, 1969 in Provo, Utah. 7 years of marriage they were blessed with the miraculous birth of their daughter Nikki Leigh. have spent 41 happy years in Orem and were blessed to be called to a Service Mission at the Lindon LDS Welfare Cannery. He proudly served his country for 2 years in the United States Army. He served as a Sergeant in the 2nd Platoon, C ½ Infantry, 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He received 2 Purple Hearts, 3 Bronze Stars and the Army Good Conduct, National Defense, Vietnam Service, Cross of Gallantry with palm, Civil Act of Honor, and Vietnam Campaign medals among others. Ellis was not a stranger to hard work. He was employed from the time he was 16 years old. He worked at Geneva Steel for 20 years and another 20 years as a mail carrier for the Provo Post Office, always providing well for his family. His favorite place to be was his cabin; he loved nothing more than spending time there with his family, especially his 4 grandchildren. He was very devoted to them and they will greatly miss their ‘Bepa’. Ellis faithfully served his parents, and tenderly helped to care for his elderly mother. He was an avid collector of antiques, juke boxes, 45 rpm records, old cameras, coins, stamps and classic cars. He never passed a yard sale. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dixie Sabey Elmer and his father, Stanley D. Sabey. He is survived by his wife Vickie Daley Sabey of Orem, his daughter Nikki Leigh Sabey (Jared) Nielsen, 4 grandchildren Atali Ann, Jorden William, Collin Ellis, and Ethan Stanley Nielsen of Orem, his mother Violet Provost Sabey of Orem, and brother Dennis A (Margaret) Sabey of Springville. Services will be held on , 13th at 11 a.m. at the Orem Timpview 5th Ward Chapel, 900 West 1000 North, Orem. Friends and family may call at a viewing , 12th from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Obituary: Claire Joy Sabey, infant daughter of Scott and Meredith Sabey of Springville, Utah, returned to her Heavenly on , Sept. 3rd, 2012, just 8 days after her birth. She was one of a set of triplets born 26th. Obituary: Beverly Saathoff 1928~2011 Beverly Ann Colbert Saathoff, age 82, passed away on 11, 2011, in Riverton, Utah, where she resided at Our House of Riverton Assisted Living. She was born on 19, 1928, in Omaha, Nebraska to James and Ramona Sanders Colbert. Beverly graduated from West High School in 1945 and went to work at Romneys Lumber Yard. She married Milton Saathoff on 7, 1949. Beverly organized the Steelworkers Local 4732 Ladies Auxiliary, was the President of the State AFL-CIO Auxiliary and Vice President of the National AFL-CIO Auxiliary. She was one of the first recipients of the Eleanor Roosevelt Award. Beverly was a current member of the OPEIU Local 11 and retired from the AFL-CIO as COPE Director, staying involved with the Retirees Union. She volunteered for many years providing donated food for the of Dimes Tele Rama and enjoyed her sewing group at the Shriners Hospital. Beverly was a Past High Priestess of the Iris Court #47, LOSNA and a member of the Rek-Hers Unit, also a member of the Salt Lake Reviewers Club. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Susan and her son-in-law Dan DAmico, her grandson David Tanner, her granddaughters Nicole Pifer, Dena, Danielle and Niky DAmico, her great granddaughters Kaitlyn, Eva and Tatum. Proceeded in death by her parents, brother Lyn Colbert, husband of 60 years, Milton and her daughter Kristine. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Our House of Riverton for the special care given to Beverly and thanks to the staff at Community Services for Hospice care in her final days. Services will be conducted by the officers and members of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South at noon on , 17, 2011. Viewing will be from 6pm till 8pm on , 16, 2011 and one hour prior to services.
