Obituary: Thomas Elmo Swenson, 81, went to be with our Heavenly Father on , 2, 2011. He was born on the family farm in Manor, Texas on 8, 1930, the son of Thomas and Olive Swenson. He was the youngest of eight children. He is survived by his wife Helen Swenson; children Debi Hamilton, Tommy Swenson Jr. and wife Georgia; Brothers Eddie Swenson and Dan Swenson; grandchildren Jade Greenough, Kira Greenough, Ryan Swenson and wife Tanya, Tahlia Morgan and husband Dallas, Clayton Swenson, and Hope Hamilton; great-grandchildren Beau and Annabella Swenson; many nieces and nephews; and pets Chloe, Peanut, Kobe, and Snickers. Tommy attended school through the fifth grade when he left to begin working to take care of his family. He worked on the family farm and got his very first paying job as a teenager at RC Cola . At the age of 19, Tommy joined the Army, serving a four year term. He was a supply sergeant and cook during the Korean War. In the early 50s Tommy began working for the Coca-Cola Bottling . He worked for many years delivering Coca-Cola to all of south Austin. He met the love of his life, Helen, at the local roller skating rink, and they wed on 8, 1955. were married for over 55 years. He worked multiple jobs to support his wife and two children. He gave them everything they could have ever wished for. Tommy started his own business, Oak Hill Service , in the early 60s and turned it over to his son, Tommy Jr., in 2000. retiring, Tommy enjoyed selling barbeque wood and fire wood, spending time with his best friend and brother-in-law, Woodrow, and grocery shopping at H-E-B. He loved cooking for his family and had the best turkey and dressing youve ever tasted. Tommy was a friend to many and a stranger to no one. He was a faithful husband, a loving father and an incredible Grandpa. He took care of his family, stuck to his word and never let anyone down. He loved people and people knew that. We are all very blessed to have had the opportunity to share our lives with this inspiring man. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Obituary: Stephen T. Swenson of Houston died on 20, 2016, at the age of 71. He was born 5, 1945, in Austin, Texas, the son of Ed and Kathleen Swenson. Blessed with a wonderful memory, he always excelled academically. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and golf, and he continued to be interested in sports even when he could no longer personally participate. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1963. He attended the California Institute of Technology and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Rice University with a B.A. in 1967 and a Master of Chemical Engineering in 1968. He worked for Exxon Chemical in Baytown for several years before returning to graduate school and receiving an MBA from Stanford in 1973, graduating in the top 5% of the class. On 11, 1973, while vacationing in Hawaii, he sustained a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. He returned to Exxon Chemical from 1974 until 1980 when he was further disabled by a severe head injury and was unable to continue working. Sustained by his Christian faith and the wonderful support of family, friends, and many kind and caring doctors and nurses, he lived his life with grace, dignity, and a great sense of humor. He married Elaine Smith on 12, 1967. enjoyed a wonderful marriage as they depended on God for the challenges they would face. were long time members of Baker Road Baptist Church in Baytown where Steve served as a deacon and childrens School teacher. moving to Houston in 2010, they became members of Tallowood Baptist Church-a wonderful source of love and encouragement. Steve is survived by his wife, Elaine, his sister, Julibeth Parrish and her husband, Mike, his sisters-in-law Sarah Bell and Lisa Pierson and her husband, Bill, and his nieces and nephews, Ted Parrish, John Bell and his wife, Nikki, Cynthia Smith and her husband, Brian, Sarah Elaine Pierson, and Katherine Wade and her husband, Vincent. He is survived also by three great-nephews and one great-niece, Hank Smith, Ruskin Bell, Edith Bell, and Finn Smith. The family would like to express thanks to his many caregivers over the years, a number of whom have become dear friends. Corina Toney and Janice Traylor were both with Steve and Elaine for over 10 years. Others include Hillary Harris, Jessica Crumedy, Ida Glover, and others from Rod Hardmans Christian Companion Senior , most recently Jerica, Shaymon, Rhonda, and Erica. A memorial service will be held on , 12, 2016, at 11 AM at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood, Houston, Texas 77024. A reception at the church will follow. Mitchell is survived by his loving parents; sister, Megan Rose Swenson; paternal grandparents, George and Caryl Swenson; maternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Raines; aunts, Lisa Turner and husband Larry, Gina Swenson, Debbie Thompson and husband Walter, and Mary MacLauchlan and husband John; uncle, Fredrick Raines and wife Christina; cousins, Philip Greenwood, Stephen Greenwood and fiancé Kanda, Christopher Raines, Austin Raines, Nathan MacLauchlan, Samantha MacLauchlan, and Stephen MacLauchlan; second cousins, Haley Roe, and Penny Jo Greenwood; and a host of many other family and friends. He is preceded by his cousin, David Greenwood. Mitchell attended LSU after receiving the Golden Oaks Scholarship. Mitchell was a member of The Golden Band From Tiger Land, The Bengal Brass Basketball Band, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tiger Tenors, Delta Sigma Pi, Beta Zeta Chapter, Institute of Internal Auditors Baton Rouge/Student Chapter and many other organizations. Mitchell was a devoted Christian and loved by everyone. Obituary: Marsha Locklin Swenson, 62, of Georgetown, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 26th, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. Marsha was born 1, 1952 in Cameron, Texas to L.W. and Erma Lee (Cryer) Locklin. She married the love of her life, Dan Swenson, on 7, 2001. Marsha graduated from Belton High School in 1970. She sought a career in the medical field and became a certified lab tech, working in microbiology and serology for seven years. She then returned to college and graduated from San Antonio School of , earning her certification as a Registered Nurse in 1984. She was employed by Santa Rosa System and later became a nurse case manager, certified in rehabilitation nursing and case management. In 1999, she established her private company in nurse case management until 2013, when breast cancer returned after a short remission. She was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. She was loved by the Church, her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, and step-children along with family members and so many loyal friends. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Swenson, of Georgetown; son, Brandon Welch and wife Lynn Welch of Oatmeal; daughter Elaine Welch of Georgetown and daughter Brittani Welch of Austin; mother, Erma Locklin of Belton; brother, James Locklin, of Belton; sister, Ann Locklin, of Belton; step-children Bret and Tracy Swenson of Shakopee, Minnesota; Travis and Julia Taylor of Hutto; Wade Swenson of Copperas Cove; and Mathew Gerber of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Grandchildren: Noah Welch, Ruby Taylor, Joshua, Jacob, Emma, & Caitlin Swenson. Marsha is also survived by extended family Ellen and Don Zimmerman and Elaine and Dwight Hendrickson. Preceding her in death were father L.W. Locklin, and brothers Loyd, Ronnie, and Jerry Locklin. services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on , 2nd, 2014 at the Georgetown Church of Christ with Minister Ben Mereness officiating. Interment to follow at Friendship in Friendship, Texas at 2:30 p.m. (near Davilla, Texas).
