Obituary: Ludie loved life. She enjoyed playing the harmonica for the elderly who were in the nursing homes. She wrote poetry and had Rudene her daughter gather the poems and create two books. When she was younger she like to go horse back riding and would gather the eggs to take into town and sell without breaking a single egg. She was very patriotic and was proud of the fact that she and her husband worked at the Nuclear Reservation and help take part in the winning of WWII. She had taken a class to learn to work in the purchasing department to order the parts for the airplanes. She was extremely proud of her family history her grandfather Alexander Moore was one of the first Texas Rangers. Ludie was strong in her beliefs there was "the right way, the wrong way, and the Stone way". Ludie was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. |

Obituary: Lt. Col. Stone passed away on 27, 2014 at the age of 93 in Austin, Texas. He was born in Clay , Tennessee on 18, 1921 to Wade P. and Bertha Brown Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John T. Stone and wife Nell; sister, Marie Holt and husband Larma; nephew, Larry Holt; step-son, Randy Wallin. His early education began in a rural one teacher school. graduation from Celina High School, he then attended Tennessee Tech. In 1941 he enlisted in the Army Aviator Cadet Program. He completed his training and received his Pilot Wings and commissioned a 2nd Lt. in 1942 at Ellington AFB, Texas. He then was assigned as a Pilot Instructor in Twin and Four Engine Aircraft. Later he was assigned to a crew in B245. flew to Italy in 1943 and became Lead Crew in the 451st Bomb Group. He flew 19 missions and engaged the Nazis all over southern Europe until he was shot down by flak and fighters over Ploesti Romania and held Prisoner until liberated of war by the Russian Army in 1944. He again was assigned as Commander of Pilot Training Squadron training Latin and Chinese Pilots in B25 and B26 Aircraft. There were tours of duty in Guam and Washington D.C.; then to Aviano, Italy where served as Director of Operations during the Cold War. Other assignments were in Ohio and Bergstrom Air Force Base where he retired in 1963. He was awarded numerous Medals and citations to include Purple Heart, The Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Presidential Citation, and Prisoner of War Metals and others. Lt. Col. Stone is survived by his wife, Geraldine; daughter, Margaret Stone of Lakeway, Texas; son, Ronald Stone and wife Gloria of New Braunfels, Texas; brother, Billy Stone and wife Shelba of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; grandsons, Christian Moore, Matthew Stone and wife Liz; granddaughter, Rachel Stone; three great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews; step-grandsons, Brandon and Robb Wallin of Austin. We especially want to thank Dr. William McCarron, Dr. Roger Gammon, Dr. Steven Pickett, Dr. Jack Moncrief, Dr. Jose Garcia and Dr. Rey Ximenes for their excellent care given to Stoney. Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Moore, Matt Stone, Steve Cherry, Ed Robinson, John Howard Stone and Steve Holt. Visitation will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm , 2, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish , 2620 South Congress. Service will be held later at the Uptown in Celina, Tennessee. Burial will be at the Family in Celina, Tennessee with Military Honors. |

She was raised in Sheppard, Texas and graduated from Sheppard High School in 1988. She married her loving husband, Jeff Stone on 20, 2010. Lori enjoyed growing orchids and outdoor plants. She never met anyone who didn become an instant friend. In restaurant lines, movie lines, she was best friends with you before you knew it. Obituary: Lois Marie Stone 78, went home to be with her Lord 20, 2015. Lois was born in , Texas on Jan. 3, 1937 She graduated from Friona High School in 1955 then attend business school in Lubbock, Texas. Lois married Bob Hunter soon after and had 4 sons. Three of those four sons survive her; Bob & Lisa Hunter, Dan & Mary Jane DeBusk-Hunter, James & Kelly Hunter. Ronny Hunter preceded her death in 2013. She was married to John Stone in 1967 until his passing in 1992. Lois, was a devout member of Odessa 1st Baptist and then later of Idalou Baptist Church. Lois, sang in the Choir in Odessa for many years and taught piano as well. Loiss love of music was shared with many of her grandchildren as her grandmother instilled it in her at a very young age and taught her to play the piano. Surviving siblings are Ruby, Virginia, Myrtie, Barbara, Kathy, Shirley, Dorothy, Brenda, Hugh, Jerry and John as well as Jessie, Joe, and Glenda which preceded her in death. All stayed very close through-out her life. Lois also had a total of 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Lois was a survivor of Thyroid cancer and will be missed by everyone. |

Obituary: Lindell Theodore Stone, Jr. (Dad) 6, 1934 - 27, 2015 Born in Wichita Falls, Texas on 6, 1934, Lindell Theodore Stone, Jr. (Ted) passed away on 27, 2015 at the age of 80. Dads earliest years were spent in Dallas. His family moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1944. It was in Lubbock that Dad developed a love for the great outdoors enjoying hunting and fishing in the uninhabited areas of West Texas in the 40s and 50s. These experiences helped shape the rugged, determined and strong personality we all came to know. He married Jenny Waghorne of Lubbock on 8, 1955 while attending Texas Tech and had 4 beautiful children. In 1957 he began a career in the real estate industry in Lubbock, Texas at Nash-Phillips-Copus, a land developer and builder of new homes. a few years he opened his own company, Lubbock Real Estate, to develop residential subdivisions and new homes. In 1965 he returned to Dallas to join Horizon Properties, at the time one of the largest master planned community developers in the country, developing over 15,000 acres throughout the southwest. He advanced to oversee development and sales for Horizon Properties in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. He moved to Houston in 1974 and formed Chrysalis Companies, which bought apartment communities and converted them to condominiums. He moved to Galveston in 1990 where he spent the next 13 years involved in the islands resort real estate industry. a distinguished 48 year career in real estate, Dad permanently retired in 2003 and moved to a small farm in East Texas to leisurely breed and raise Arabian horses where he was affectionately known to his neighbors as Ted or he gentleman farmer. In 2014, Dad was one of 18 individuals in Texas who were given the lifetime award of Realtor Emeritus honoring Realtors who held membership in the national association for a cumulative period of 40 years. Dad was determined, enthusiastic and committed in all areas of his life. He loved golf, good scotch with a good cigar, his Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved gardening, cooking, entertaining and celebrating life. He was a trendsetter in architecture and interior design in his industry. He was a witty and engaging storyteller and speaker. He was also a gifted writer with an artful and captivating style. He made friends easily and was respected and cherished by those who truly had the joy to know him. He embraced technology as a platform to describe his life's experiences and entertain his family; expounding about the way things used to be, the way things are now, and perhaps the way they should be moving forward. His greatest pride and joy was being a Dad. He was a devoted father and teacher. He passed distinct and separate gifts of wisdom to each of his children with deliberate and thoughtful purpose. We will miss him greatly, but the immense legacy of his footprint will remain for all eternity. Obituary: If you asked Leona when she was born, likely as not, she would say, I don know. She was found as an infant in a basket, abandoned in the waiting room of the train station in Childress, Texas, birthdate unknown. That fact would deeply affect the way she loved and protected her family. She clung to those she loved with the fierceness and passion of a momma bear, if you can compare a slight 100 pound lady to a momma bear. The love of her life was her husband, Joe, known by her as Jody, but she had plenty of love to spare for her sons, Terry and Steve. She would often say of Joe, He took nothing and made it into something, which actually wasn accurate. Leona was the first in her family to attend college and after completing two years of her education, she taught school under a provisional license and attended additional classes to complete her education. She eventually obtained a Masters of Education degree and taught for over 30 years. She was also an artist. Leona painted and made ceramics, and in her later years, she became a prodigious quilt maker, winning many blue ribbons and other awards at the county fair. Through her generosity, these quilts became a blessing to many others who received them as gifts. Her love was not confined, to just Jody and her two boys. She loved all her extended family and friends, and her already love-filled heart would expand just a little bit more each time a new grandchild or greatgrandchild arrived. Leonas official birthdate was 15, 1925 (chosen by her mother so she could start school early), but on May 16, 2017, Leona received a new birthdate that we can be sure of. On that day, she was born into new and eternal life, full of love and everlasting joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe and by her granddaughter Kristyn Stone. Leona is survived by her sons, Terry Stone and his partner Mike Bush, Steve and his wife, Dianne Stone; grandchildren, Stepheny Bennett and her husband, Kevin, Amy Popejoy and her husband, Ruston; great-grandchildren: Brendan, Bryson and Brielee Bennett and Emma Popejoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Childrens of Lubbock or the Kristyn Stone Memorial Scholarship, c/o Trinity School, Midland, Texas.
