Obituary: On 7, 2014, beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully at her home in Dallas, TX. Joan was born 11, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA to Florence Jensen Lutkin and Albert Lutkin. Joan attended Haverford High School in Haverford, PA. Upon graduation from high school she was co-producer of a local TV show, Childrens World on WFIL-TV, and appeared in the first soap opera produced for television in Philadelphia, The Susan Peters Show. Joan later became a flight attendant for Capital Airlines (now United Airlines) and was based in Dallas and later New Orleans. It was in New Orleans where she met and fell in love with Army 1st Lt. William Forrest Stevens, Base Commander at Camp Villere, Slidell, LA. Joan and Forrest married, 2, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA and settled in Forrests hometown of Richton, MS where he was President of the Stevens family timber and lumber business with offices throughout Mississippi and Mobile, AL. Joan became an active member of The Richton Arts Council, and served several years as chairman of the Richton Arts Festival. She was active on the Richton Library Board, partner and founder of Associated Travel Agency in Hattiesburg, MS and Laurel Travel Associates in Laurel, MS. Joan also appeared in the First Edition of Outstanding Young Woman of America. In 1972, Joan and Forrest moved to Laurel, MS where she continued her love of the arts and travel. She was a member of the Laurel Little Theatre, the Laurel Arts League, member of the Gallery Guild of Jackson and past director of the Mississippi Association of Art. Both she and her husband were members of the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Mississippi Museum of Art and the Walter Anderson Museum. In 1972, she and her family began dividing their time between Mississippi and their home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In 2004, Joan and Forrest retired and settled in Dallas, TX. Joan is survived by her husband, William Forrest Stevens, and twin daughters, Jene Jensen Stevens, Julie Stevens Harrington and her husband Clayton Harrington of Austin, TX and two grandchildren, Kallie Harrington of Austin, TX and Leighton Harrington of Hernando, MS. Joan is also survived by half- brothers James McGarrity of Haverford, PA and John McGarrity of Osceola, PA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Mississippi. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, P.O. Box 1108, Laurel, MS 39440, The University of Mississippi Museum, 406 University Avenue, Oxford, MS 38655 or to your favorite animal shelter. |

Obituary: Services for Jimmy E. Stevens, 72, of Killeen will be held at 10:00 AM , 1, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers in Killeen with burial to follow at Killeen Memorial Park. Jimmy passed away peacefully on , 28, 2016 at his home in Killeen, Texas. Born in Elma Washington to Willard Stevens and Etta Anderson Stevens on 26, 1943, he lived most of his life in Puyallup, Washington and Killeen, Texas. Jim was a passionate man who enjoyed Drag Racing, riding motorcycles and being with family. He was employed as a forklift mechanic for Equipment Depot of Waco, Texas. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 Years ,Virginia ( Jenney); three daughters, Mardale Tutor of Marlin, Texas, Christa Parrish and husband Bubba of Killeen, Texas, and Tammy Stevens of Killeen, Texas; one son, Curtis Stevens and wife Tonia of Yelm, Washington; seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild. He is also survived by one sister Betty Shelton of Puyallup, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Austin Stevens. Visitation will be 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers of Killeen which is also in charge of arrangements. |

Obituary: A Celebration of Life for Hugh Jim "Jimbo" Stevens, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on , 14, 2015 at the Rock'N Dollar Ranch, 11134 Burge Road, Lumberton, Texas. A graveside service will be held at Seamans in Chester, Texas at 1:30 p.m. Friends and family are invited to Enon Baptist Church following the graveside service. The family will receive friends at Rock'n Dollar Ranch on evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Jimbo was born on 23, 1951 in Beaumont and passed away on 9, 2015 in Beaumont. He was a graduate of French High Class of 1969 "See You At The Next Reunion", his favorite memories were of his high school years cruising 11th Street and hanging out at the Pig Stands. Jimbo had a love for American muscle cars and loud music. His love of music lead him to become part of Brother Dave's and Lovely Lynn's radio program as Producer Jim at 104.5 and later as a D.J. for Freedom 1300 AM. He enjoyed spending time at the Rock'n $ Ranch and there's not a structure there that he did not leave a mark on. He worked at Coca Cola in Beaumont since 1978. Survivors include his mother, Imogene Stevens of Chester; wife, Dolly Stevens of Lumberton; son, Sean Stevens of Lumberton; daughter, Stephanie "Possum" Plake & husband Patrick of Lumberton; brothers, David Stevens of Baton Rouge, Mark Stevens of Chester; granddaughter, Ashley "Doodle Bug" Stevens. |

Obituary: J.C. Stevens Jr., passed away on his 93rd birthday 4, 2017. He was born 4, 1924 in Grand Saline to Katie (Jones) and Clayton Stevens. At a young age the family moved to Midland, which was always home. There he met and married Mary Lou Whitaker Stevens. J.C. served in the Army Signal Corp during World War II. he returned home he worked in the oil fields in the Midland area. He and Mary Lou moved their young family to Angleton, where he worked for Dow Chemical as a pipefitter and welder until his retirement in 1981. J.C. was a life time member of the Pipefitters Local Union, where he served as Vice-President and President for eleven years; he also helped organize and served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Dow Employees Credit Union. J.C. and Mary Lou loved to travel, seeing the country from coast to coast. retirement they spent many summers as volunteers for the National Forest Service in Colorado. also enjoyed square dancing and found many places to dance during their travels. built their retirement home at Lake Buchanan enjoying the peace, watching the deer and the bluebonnets in the spring. J.C. was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 67 years Mary Lou Stevens, three sisters Effie Stevens, Pauline Wesson, and Evelyn Johnston, his brother Ed Stevens and son-in-law Joe Manak. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-laws Louise and Royce Whitehead of Ft. Worth, Betty and Russell Donham of Alvin and Brenda and David Scroggin of Hunt, his grandchildren Bill Gustavsen of Houston, Cindy Reeder of Ft. Worth, Bryan Donham of Alvin, Darrell Donham of Houston and Lee Murray Lang of Bastrop, his great grandchildren Ashley Murray, McKenzie Manak and Gabriel Hale and his companion Mary Beth Quick. Graveside services are schedule for 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 7, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox in Burnet.
