Obituary: Nancy Aldridge Steger, age 71 of San Antonio died on , 2, 2012. Nancy opened her heart to all without hesitation or judgment. She had a deep love and appreciation for animals and nature. She enjoyed visiting National and Texas State Parks. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family. Obituary: Lucille Steger, 80, of Austin, passed away 9, 2015. Lucille was born in Travis , Texas on 23, 1934 to Delwin and Elsa Jaecks. On 10, 1951 she was united in marriage to Lester Steger, a marine who served his country for twenty years. He preceded Lucille in death in 1988. For many years, Lucille worked in various banks in the bookkeeping, loan and collection departments. She retired in 1990 and in 1991 began a volunteer position at Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. She is survived by her children, Chaunce Chaney, Julie Schrieber and husband Charles, and Lester Steger, Jr. and wife Sally; grandchildren, David Buck, Marian Chaney, DeKimbie Chaney, and Breanne Steger; her mother, Sheryl Steger; great-grandson, Jeremy Buck; brother, Howard Jaecks and wife Judy; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., , 14, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., , 15, 2015 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks . Memorial services honoring Mrs. Steger will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Holy Word Lutheran Church, 10601 Bluff Bend Way, Austin. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Holy Word Lutheran Church. Obituary: John Paul Steger, Sr. of Grand Prairie, age 79, passed away on 19, 2013. He was born 22, 1933 (11-22-33, as he was fond of saying.) Upon graduating from Trimble Technical High School he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for a number of years. receiving his honorable discharge, he went to work for the Farmers Branch Police Department. He later worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna Steger, of Fort Worth, brother, Joseph Steger, Jr. of San Leandro, California and nephew, Larry Steger, also of California. He is survived by his children: John Steger, Jr. and wife Sheryl of Dallas; Judy Sutherland and husband Shawn of Richardson; and Jeff Steger and wife Kristy of Rowlett; Grandchildren: Jordan Steger and wife Amanda of Dallas; Josh Steger and wife Amanda of Hurst; Janee Steger of Rowlett; Kassidy Steger and Peyton Steger of Dallas; Becca Reed of Dallas; and Rachel Reed of Rowlett. He was a Mason for 42 years and was a Past Master Mason at the Carrollton Lodge. Additional survivors include the mother of his children, Betty Steger of Carrollton, sister-in-law, Mary Steger and niece Charlotte Thrailkill, both of Oklahoma and special friend, Ann Long of Grand Prairie.
