Obituary: Robert (Bob) L Steel of Corpus Christi went to be with his Lord and Savior on 28th, 2016. He was born 5th, 1925 in Stratford, TX to William Wallace and Fern Pendleton Steel. In 1954 he and his wife, Arlene, and children, Lynda and Tommy moved to Corpus Christi. He worked at Mercantile National Bank when it opened in 1955 and worked his way up to Senior Vice President before becoming President of Gulfway National Bank. He served on both banks Board of Directors. Bob was a graduate of The Southwestern Graduate School of Banking. He served on the Executive Board of the Gulf Coast Council Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver award in 1982. Bob became a Deacon first at Travis Baptist Church and then at First Baptist Church where he and his wife Arlene were members beginning in 1976. Bob served on the Board of Trustees at Howard Payne University. a successful banking career Bob joined Arlene in organizing Arlene Steel Realtors in 1984. In 2000 Arlene Steel Realtors merged with Pacesetter Realtors to form Coldwell Banker Pacesetter Steel Realtors. Bob was a member of the Corpus Christi Association of Realtors from 1984 until 2014. He and his wife Arlene Steel were married for 65 years before her death in 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Lynda Steel Martin (Jack) and son Tommy Steel (Jean). He had 3 grandchildren, Cindy Martin Graves (Steve), Ryan Martin (Roxy) and Shannon Steel White (Stuart) and 6 great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Rebekah and Samuel Graves; Evan and Luke Martin; and David White. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church sanctuary 4th at 3:00 pm with a reception following in the Herford Parlor. Burial will be private. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Mary Garcia and all of the caregivers at JMJ . The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the First Baptist Church Bell Tower fund. |

Obituary: Rachel Kirk Yeats Steel was a lifelong resident of Dallas, born 25, 1940, and passed peacefully and unexpectedly on 19, 2017. She was a loving wife to David Steel for over 12 years but has known him since grade school. She has retained special friendships to many Golden Girls from her youth and those she worked with at Head Start. She had an extended family with her church and those that met her loved her instantly. She is presided in death by her parents, Rufus and Virginia Kirk and her first husband, David Yeats. She leaves behind her daughters, Kellie and Shawna Yeats, her nephews Kevin and Jason Yeats, son-in-law John Steel, his wife Sarah and their children Matthew and McKennah of Virginia, daughter-in-law Allison Yoa, her husband Andy and their children, Alex and Austin of New Jersey, and goddaughter Randi Riffle of Alaska. Cremation provided by Laurel Land with memorial services held at Valley View Christian Church in Carrollton on 22nd @ 10:00. In lieu of flowers please donate to local women shelters. |

Obituary: Harry Alford Steel of Denison died 18, 2014. He was 103 years old. Harry was born 10, 1910 in Woodville, Oklahoma, to Cuthbert and Lottie Steel. He married Grace Driggars in Sherman, Texas, on 20, 1937. Harry and Grace moved to Denison from Parsons, Kansas in 1966, and he retired as a signal engineer from the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad in 1975 after a 33-year career. He was a member of First Christian Church of Denison and active in church, railroad, and community events throughout his life. He delivered Meals-on-Wheels we into his late 90s. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace, who passed away in 2006, He is survived by daughter Virginia Milks of Denison; son Billy Steel of San Antonio; sister Thelma Widney of Durant; grandsons Bryan Milks and his wife Zandra of Sherman, Kevin Milks and his wife Peggy of Calera, Oklahoma, and Keith Milks and his wife Barbara of Denison. He had 11 Great-grandchildren; Shelbi, Mallory, Megan, Hillary, Max, Marissa, David, Colton, Madeline, Liam and Joe; four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Obituary: Gordon Earl Steel, Jr., passed away on 24, 2011. He was born on 3, 1924, to Gordon Earl and Goldie Benge Steel in Palestine, Texas. Gordon graduated from high school in Palestine, he then moved to San Antonio to begin working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, which left him with a lifelong fondness for the history of rail travel in the United States. service in the Pacific in World War II, Gordon attended Trinity University and graduated from the University of Denver, then settling in San Antonio and embarking on his career with the U.S. Air Force at Kelly AFB. He capped his career by transferring to Ramstein, Germany, to negotiate European real estate leases for the armed forces. Gordon took great delight in introducing his wife Jolie and his children to European life and culture. He lived his devotion to God, joining in Perpetual Adoration and serving as a role model of Catholic faith for his family and acquaintances. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Henriette Jolie al Steel. He is survived by his children, al Earl and his wife, Anne, Fletcher Lawrence, Nancy Lorraine, and Gregory Guy and his wife, Kara, and by his treasured grandchildren, Sean, Luke, Peter, and Henriette.
