Obituary: Leslie Van LV Staton, age 82 of Georgetown, Texas passed away on 30, 2015. He was born 13, 1932 in Georgetown to Leslie and Savannah (Innmon) Staton. He married Yvonne Scott on 5, 1954 in Georgetown Texas. LV attended the original Rock House School. During the time his daughters were growing up, he would load family and neighbors in his truck and go to the farm to ride horses and to hunt. At family gatherings, he would be the Master BBQ Chef and official sausage sampler. Our family knew how much he cared for them by the nickname he would give them. LV selflessly served in the United States Army from 1950 - 1954. He was honored to serve the country that he loved. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Scott Staton; daughters, Donna Staton Hand (husband Bob Hand), Sue Staton Smith (husband Ronny Smith); granddaughters, Sara Richards (her husband Adam), Ashley Sugimura (her husband Tait), Brittany Smith White (her husband Bryan); grandson, Tanner Smith; great grandchildren, Halli, T.J., Xander, Maile, Taitum, Kristen, Blake, and Bailey Grace. He also raised Yvonne Maund; children, Lindsey Upton (Patrick), Adam Maund (Nicole); and Blair, Kennedy and Hudson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held on , 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Ramsey . services will be held at 2:00 pm on , 2, 2015 at Ramsey . Burial will follow at Liberty Hill . Honored to serve as pallbearers includes: Tanner Smith, Bryan White, Tait Sugimura, David Lane, Scott Lane, Scott Hertzog, Wayne Norton, Bryan Norton, Cory Gregg, and Ernest Ojeda. Honorary pallbearers include: Elroy Foust, Tommy Ragsdale, Glen Ragsdale, and John Dudgeon. Obituary: Gerald Glen Staton passed away early morning, the ninth, of an apparent heart attack at his home in Ft. Worth. He is survived by his son, Gerald Glenn II, his parents Lanny and Elizabeth Staton, his brothers Lanny Wayne Staton II and William Kindel Staton of Dallas, and John David Staton of the Woodlands. Jerry was the second son, born in Conroe, Texas on 17, 1969. The family moved to Dallas and then to Tyler in about 1972 where Jerry grew up at 212 Robert E Lee Drive. Jerry attended church and many summer camps as a member of Central Baptist Church. He was active in the Royal Ambassadors and Cub Scouts. Jerry accepted Jesus as his Savior during his teen years. He was a class leader at Robert E Lee High School and active in debate and a short stint in football where his uniform and pads doubled his size. He graduated St. Marys Law School in San Antonio where he met his wife, Candice Taylor. had one son, the absolute light in Jerrys life. Jerry was injured from a fall and sustained third degree burns over all his lower body during the past few years. He has had constant pain since the skin grafts and walking had become extremely painful. Although Jerry fought demons in his life, he was a Christian, a great father and a loving son and brother. Jerrys soul is in Heaven and he is no longer in pain. |

Erma was born on 11, 1922, in Ridge Texas to S.D. Mack Ham and Ruby Barnett Ham and was a lifelong Resident of Brown and a graduate of Early High School.
