Obituary: Wanda Day Stark, age 91, passed away peacefully on , 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born 13, 1923 in Cone, Texas to the late Americus and Lou (Strickland) Lambert. She spent much of her early life in the Knox City area and then later moved to Abilene. Wanda loved music and could play the piano by ear. She had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with her family (especially when it included Peeps and balloon volleyball). Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gentry Day and Cody Stark; brother, Arvis Cortez Lambert; and sisters, Minnie Jo Youngblood and Talmage Madonna Havens. Survivors include her daughters, Sharlyn Wynette Williams of Abilene and Gail Elaine Hart of Garland; grandchildren, Troy Williams of Abilene, Eric Williams of Houston, Shaynan Runnels of Rockwall and Brandi Neville of Henrietta; great grandchildren, McKenzy and Logan Martin; and great great grandchild, Aiden Retana. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff at The Oaks At Radford Hills. A private family memorial service was held in her memory. Obituary: Virginia Rutledge Stark Munnie died on 2, 2006. She was born 3, 1904 in Palestine, Texas, the daughter of Myra Virginia and Edward Nelson Rutledge. A graduate of Palestine High School, she attended The University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Married to James Kenneth Stark of Plano, Texas, she was a resident of San Antonio for 75 years, following her vocation as homemaker and taking part in community activities. Many civic and social organizations claimed her as an active member, among them the Alamo Heights School System, the San Antonio Country Club and the Charity Ball Association. She was a founding member of St. LukeÂs Episcopal Church, where she served as the first President of the Women of St. LukeÂs. She also was a founder of the Zeta Tau Alpha Mothers Club. She was especially loyal to the Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae, who renamed the San Antonio Chapter the Virginia Rutledge Stark Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. These members remained her close friends and supporters to the end of her 101 years. The family is truly grateful to each of them. The family is grateful, as well, to Dr. Mark Nelson and to caregivers, Juana Rosas, Tommie Albrecht, Mary Margaret Garza and Josie Quintero. Virginia, or Munnie, as she was known to many, was predeceased by her husband in 1983 and by one grandson, Kenneth McCandless. She is survived by: Three daughters and their husbands: Peggy and Bill Trieschmann, Virginia Ginger and Tom Blaylock, and Suzanne and Bill McCandless; Eight grandchildren and spouses: Susan Virginia Saunders and Jim Hurst, John Saunders, Jr. and Laurie Saunders, Margaret and Bob Patterson, Jamie and Jenny Durbin, John and Townsend Durbin, Virginia Rutledge Gigi and Robert Dooley, Patrick McCandless, Betsy and John Greytok, Rose McCandless, widow of Kenneth McCandless. Twenty-one great grandchildren: Sandra Thornton, Clay Thornton, John Saunders III, Christina Saunders, Gracie Saunders, Cameron Campbell and wife, Anne, Trenton Campbell, Stuart Campbell, Will Patterson, Maggie Patterson, Preston Durbin, Ford Durbin, Luke Durbin, John Durbin, Jr., Robert Durbin, Nelson Dooley, Billy McCandless, James McCandless, Laura Beth Greytok, Kristen Greytok and Amanda Greytok. |

Interment will follow at the Resthaven in Quitaque. are under the care of Moore Rose in Quitaque. Scotty was born in Plainview Tx on 5, 1953 and graduated from Quitaque High School in 1970. Scotty attended college at West Texas State University but returned to Quitaque to make a life becoming a farmer. He was a man of the land and could grow anything he put in the ground. He loved gardening, fishing, and anything to do with toiling the soil. He had a gift of music and played by ear, he could play any instrument put in his hands. He attended Fairmont Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Quitaque. His life was filled with friends and family that loves him. Obituary: Sara Jordan Stark died on 1, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born in Panama City, Florida, but grew up and graduated high school in Dothan, Alabama. attending Auburn University, she returned to Dothan where, in 1942, she met and married Lieutenant Robert F. Stark of a, Georgia. She began her many experiences as an Air Force wife in Ft. Meyers, Florida, where their two daughters were born. the war Sara and her daughters sailed on a troop ship to join her husband in Japan during the Occupation. When the Korean War began she worked as a volunteer in the Army Hospital in Nagoya, Japan, helping incoming wounded from Korea. several assignments in the States, in 1957 she and her girls once again sailed on a troop ship to join her husband in Taiwan where she was very active in Red Cross. a tour at Kelly AFB, she accompanied her husband to West Berlin for three exciting years and many European adventures. Although always active in military Wives Clubs, while in Germany she proudly served as president of the Berlin American Wives Club of Berlin. their Berlin tour, Sara and Bob returned to Kelly AFB where Sara served as the 1970 President of the Kelly Wives Club. Called to serve overseas once again, Bob and Sara spent two years in Crete, Greece where she served as Honorary President of the Iraklion Wives Club. In 1973 they once again returned to Kelly AFB where Bob retired and they have called San Antonio home ever since. Sara and Bob moved to Air Force Village II in 2000 where Sara enjoyed water aerobics, line dancing and bridge; served on several committees, as Chairman of the DRAC, and as a member of the Residents Council; and volunteered in the . Although she lost Bob in 2009, Sara loved life at the Village and the many friends she met there, especially over the past few years at the AFV Liberty House. She is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Sandra E. Stark (PhD) of Madison, Wisconsin and Barbara Bobbi S. Coombs of San Antonio who is married to retired USAF LtCol John E. Coombs, and one niece, Gail Stelling, of Hacketstown, NJ. In addition to her beloved husband of 67 years, Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Henry Jordan and her only sibling, brother, Henry Jordan, Jr. GRAVESIDE SERVICE WEDNESDAY APRIL 10, 2013 10:00 A.M.
