Obituary: Please join us as we celebrate and remember the life of William Shirrell Sparks on , 19, 2017 at Bluebonnet Hills and Memorial Park, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas. We will start his service at 12:30p.m. in the Memorial Chapel and then proceed to the Memorial Park for his burial. At the age of 81, our Lord called Shirrell home on 5, 2017. Shirrell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Sparks. Together they built a loving family including their daughters and husbands, Renee’ and Rusty Templeton and Cindy and Mark Hoke. He is greeted in heaven by his son, Mark David Sparks. He was papaw to three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and known as Sparky to his friends. Obituary: William R. Sparks, Jr. age 72, of Plano, passed away on , 29, 2012. He was born on 28, 1940, in Houston, TX, to the late William R. and Hazel Sparks. William earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A & M in 1965. He retired from the Celanese Chemical after 15 years of service. In 1983, William and his wife, Glenda, started Insurance Affiliates in Plano, which they owned and operated for many years. He was a member of Hunters Glen Baptist Church for several years. William enjoyed hunting and loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Glenda Sparks; four children, Christie Sparks-Moore of Waco, Trae Sparks of Thornton, William R. Sparks III of Plano, and Wayne Sparks and his wife, Joanna, of Allen; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Nicholas, Tanner, Grace, Caleb, Preston and Hunter Sparks; brother, Clifton E. Obituary: Virginia Sparks, born 3rd, 1943, to Amado and Fermina Aguilar in Houston, Texas, passed away 20, 2011 in Houston. Virginia was the lovely wife of her beloved husband, Kenneth Sparks, for 19 years. She is survived by her two daughters, JoAnn Hooks and husband, Richard, and Leah Espinosa-Hamilton and husband, Timothy. She is also survived by Tren Sparks and Kenneth Sparks, Jr., sons of Kenneth Sparks. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brothers, John Aguilar and wife, Soledad, Amado Aguilar, Jr., and Manuel Aguilar. She is survived by her brothers, Carmen Aguilar (Betty) from Michigan, Pete Aguilar (Shannon) from California, Ernest Aguilar (Aurora) from California, Raymond Aguilar (Lynda) from California, and sisters Dolores Aguilar of Houston, and Josephine Cardona (Armando) of Houston; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Aguilar and Emma Aguilar, and by numerous other family and friends. She retired from AT&T in 2004. She had a lifelong love of family, music, community, and planning celebrations. Most recently, she developed a passion for gardening and playing the piano. Virginia was active in many clubs and organizations throughout her life, but those most precious to her were the Houston Heights Womans Club, where she was recently nominated President for 2011-2012 (where she would have been the first Hispanic President in the 110-year history of the club); the Houston Heights #258 O.E.S. where she was a longtime secretary; and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #63. Virginia cherished the friendships she gained from her many involvements and loved sharing her time and talent for the betterment of others. She will always be remembered for her smile, selfless generosity, constantly thinking of the needs of others, and her unwavering faith in God. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. , 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights , where a vigil service and rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. , 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights . Obituary: Vera Mae Foster Sparks of Victoria was called to be with her Lord on May 1, 2017. She was the 5th child born to Rufus L. and Ocie Foster. She was born on 11, 1932. She attended Nazareth Academy. She met the love of her life Allen Leroy Sparks Sr. and they were married 17, 1948. were married 69 years. She is survived by sons, Allen Sparks Jr. and Ricky Sparks (Roxanna); five grandchildren, Britton Sparks, Cody Sparks, Cassie Sparks Reynolds (Reid), Magen Sparks and Abby Sparks Gloris (Eric); one great grandchild, Loretta Reynolds, the apple of her eye; a son by choice, Kyle Daniels (Becky); sisters, Betty Anderson (David), Patsy Sumbera (Leroy); and a sister by choice, Merle Sparks; many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister. Vera was active in the Port Lavaca art guild for many years and was chairman of the Arts & Craft Festival for 18 years. She was a charter member of the Calhoun Quilt guild. A friend introduced her to Brazilian Embroidery, so she combined her quilting with Brazilian embroidery. She leaves behind many pieces of her quilting & art work to her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm , May 4, 2017 at Rosewood Chapels. Obituary: Tony C. Sparks, 66, of Colorado City passed away , 6, 2015 at the Abilene Regional Medical . He was born in Roscoe on 4, 1949 the son of W.D. and Dorothy Murtishaw Sparks. Tony spent many years of his life driving tractor-trailer, most recently for Sunoco Logistics. He was a member of the Christian Temple of Colorado City and of the C.C. Riders Car Club. He was a man filled with passion and love and it seemed nothing could get his spirits down or waiver his opinions. When not at work Tony could often be found doing something with or for his grandbabies, going out fishing, or just relaxing and watching the Rangers play ball. Tony is survived by his wife of 17 years Jessica Sparks, by a daughter Shannon Sparks of Houston Mississippi, and four sons; Tony Sparks Jr. of Rising Star, Charles Lindsey and wife Darla of Colorado City, Sonny Lindsey and wife Sarah of Colorado City, and Curtis Lindsey and wife Sharlyne also of Colorado City. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, as well as by a sister Linda Owens and husband David of San Angelo, and by 2 brothers W.D.
