She had lived in Port Arthur for over fifty years and was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was devoted to her family. Survivors include her husband, Darrell Soileau, Sr. of Port Arthur; daughters, Rhonda Regan of Livonia, Louisiana and Tammy Haining and her husband Johnny of Port Arthur; son, Darrell Soileau, Jr. of Groves; brothers, Gary Barber of Baton Rouge and Darryl Barber of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, John Patrick Diaz and Todd David Harris; great grandchildren, Madison Harris, Christian Harris and Liberty Harris. She was a long time member of Dowlen Road Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband Burnell Soileau. One son, William Wayne Flurry, one daughter, Kayla Buchanon. And one step daughter, Joslyn Ilene Potter. Parents, Albert J. & Era Victoria Powell and three brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Austin of Montgomery, TX. Four step children; Melanie Hannah Landreneau, Reneau Pauline Rougeau, Mason Everett Soileau and Amanda Christine Hubbard all of Eunice, LA. A nephew, Teddy Powell. Obituary: Dorothy L. Soileau, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away , May 14, 2015. Dorothy was born 14, 1926 in Peason, Louisiana to E. C. Mills and Gladys Duplissey Mills. She was a lifelong area resident and member of First Baptist Church of Groves. Dorothy was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti Lynn Soileau; two sisters, one brother, and 2 daughter-in-laws. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Ulysee Johnny Soileau of Groves; daughter, Peggy Sue LeBlanc and husband, Ricky of Groves; two sons, Jimmy Soileau of Lake Charles, LA and Douglas Jay Soileau of Lebanon, TN; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mike is survived by his loving wife Judy Sohn, one sister, one daughter, five step-children, and ten grandchildren. Mike was a native New Yorker and a devoted Marine. He always made sure to put others first, and was the life of the party with his quick wit, great jokes, and wonderful stories. Although he lived in Texas for the past 12 years, he never forgot his roots and made sure to cheer for the Yankees and the Giants every season. His family and friends will miss him greatly, but he will live on in our thoughts and prayers forever.
