Obituary: Wesley T. Smith passed away , May 20, 2011. He was born 30, 1929 to Charles and Ora (Withrow) Smith in Dallas. In 1947, he graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and went to work for his father in the gravel business. A few years later, he and his brother, Charles Jr. started C & W Sand & Gravel which operated successfully for over three decades. Simultaneously, Wesley branched out into other areas of investment, including the car business, real estate holdings and equities purchases. Many novice entrepreneurs benefited from his sage advice and financial support. His uncanny business acumen led to many successful ventures. Wesley was a thoughtful, insightful father imparting life lessons to his children and grandchildren. His goal was to create independent, self-reliant children by providing encouragement and support which he did in a quiet manner throughout his life. He is survived by three daughters, Pam Harrison (Mike), Sally Rudisill, and Teri Cates (Sid); seven grandchildren, Christy Choat (Chris), Jason Cates, Ginger Hatley (Jason), Holly Adams (Ben), Cameron Cates, Connor Cates, and Annie Rudisill; two siblings, Dorothy Martin (Dillard), Donald Smith (Susan) and sister-in-law, Mattie Smith; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Norma Smith, the mother of his children and his dear friend, Donna Hanes. He was predeceased by two siblings, Helen Wells (James) and Charles Smith; one grandson, Tyler Cates. Visitation will be held on , May 23, at Grove Hill from 6:00-8:00 PM. The service will be held , May 24, at 2:00 PM followed by internment at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Obituary: Welton Jessie Smith was born 25, 1929 and passed from this life to his eternal home on 4, 2014. He was 84 years old. Welton was born in Grandview, Texas to Jessie Doodle Smith and Nora Kettler Smith. He died peacefully in his home in Wortham, Texas with his wife of 24 years at his side. Welton was a long time resident of Princeton, Texas, where he ran an automotive repair shop and wrecker service. He could be seen all over town in his old yellow wrecker, with his dog Vivian by his side. Welton enlisted in the air force in 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1950. He was in the 49th Bomber division. He was also a medic while in the service and learned to work on automobiles. leaving the service, he started working for a car dealership, repairing transmission. He taught transmission repair at a college in Ardmore, Oklahoma for a short time. He started his transmission business in Princeton in the 1970s, until his retirement a few short years ago. Welton is survived by his wife, Betty; Sons: Gary Smith, Lee Smith, Tommy Smith, Dwayne Ray, Wendoll Smith; Daughter: Deneen Gray; Stepson: Michael Roberts; Stepdaughter: Tammy Tucker and Granddaughter Kylie, who he raised as a young child; Brothers: Marvin, Melvin, Louis, Bill and Gordon Smith, along with Sisters: Robbie Wilson and Minnie Phacker. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Welton was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Nora Smith, a daughter, Sandra; Brothers: Lester and Marshall, Sister: Geneva and step-daughter, Angie. Visitation will be , 8, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Princeton, Texas. Services will be , 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons , 660 E. Hwy. 380 in Princeton, Texas. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel on Bridgefarmer Road in Lowry Crossing, Texas. Rev. Rich Hooper will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Research would be greatly appreciated. |

Obituary: Weldon Smitty Smith was born 18, 1919 to Kemper and Lula Smith. Weldon was a bronze star recipient earning this honor during WWII while serving in Italy in the 10th mountain division. He retired from the Air Force in 1965 after serving for 22 years. Smitty was a wonderful husband and father with family being the most important thing to him. He was a humble man, not asking for much; he loved to read, listen to the Texas Rangers baseball games, and indulge in a piece of coconut crème pie and listen to big band music. Weldon is preceded in death by his wife C. Nadine Smith of 55 years, father, Kemper Smith and mother, Lula Mae Smith; Brother, Jack Smith and grandson, Scott Wayne Smith. Obituary: Wayne Jordan Smith, Sr. passed away peacefully at home in his sleep the morning of 15, 2016. He was born at home on Nolda Street in Houston, Texas on 26, 1936 to Charles (Bill) Roland Smith, Sr. and Maurine Bokemeyer Smith. Wayne Attended Jeff Davis High School and while there, met and fell in love with Sybill Marie Clifford. were married 22, 1956, after he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955. Wayne proudly served our country in the Pacific. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Sybill (10/4/39 - 1/15/15), his parents, his brothers, Roland and Gerald, and his daughter, Sharon Marie Smith Fritsche (8/31/59 - 5/31/02). He is survived by his son, Jordan, and daughter-in-law, Kathy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashlee Smith Adams (husband , Brandon, and children, Landon and Harper), Justin Wayne Smith (wife, Tracie, and son Tucker), Chelsea Smith Carr (husband, y, and daughter, Savannah), Rendi Dianne Smith, Dustin Fritsche, Chris Fritsche, and Sara Fritsche Perez (husband, Tommy, and children, Tommy, Sophia, Mila, and Jameson), a special niece, Carolyn Clifford Reynolds, sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith and Mary Ruth Clifford, son-in-law, Steve Fritsche and wife Kathy, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will always be grateful to Waynes companion, Kathy Wortham, for her devotion and care for Wayne this past year. Wayne was proud of his family and cherished each one. He was an electrician, and with his wife, Sybill, founded Wayne Electric, Inc. on 9, 1975. Wayne Electric has grown and served the commercial electrical contracting needs of Houston for over forty years. Wayne was active in Local 716 and strongly supported the quality and education of union electricians. The Smiths expanded the business to include carpentry and painting in 2005 with the formation of Way-Tech, Inc., a member of several local trade unions. Integrity and hard work was how he lived his life and he expected the same in others. His word was his bond and everyone knew that if Wayne said it, it was as good as done. He was a generous man and forgave easily. His dry wit and turn of phrase are legendary. Wayne Smith enjoyed his life tremendously and left this world with no regrets. He was blessed with many dear and faithful friends and will be greatly missed.
