Obituary: Anna Louise Singleton, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior , 13, 2015 at Stonebrook Assisted Living in Denison, Texas. Visitation for Anna Louise will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., , 18, 2015 at Bratcher , 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, Texas,75020. services for Anna Louise will be held at 2:00 P.M., , 19, 2015 at Bratcher with family friend Judge Horace Groff officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memory in Colbert, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Crouse, Jason Russell, Shane Kenney, Colton Kenney, Jacob Russell, Andrew Russell, Jack Hanan, and Dan Sharp. Anna Louise was born 30, 1936 in Mead, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late C.W. and Ruby Petty. She married Ray Singleton May 22, 1953 in Denison. She attended Golden Rule and Denison High School. The most rewarding job in her lifetime was being an instructor at Lark Child Development and was a positive influence on many lives. She was a pianist for Sunnyside Baptist Church for many years. Anna Louise will be remembered for her love of the Lord, love of her family and was a Dallas Cowboy and Dallas Star fan. She had many gifted talents, one being music, her love of painting and her outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and will be dearly missed. The Lord took her home, where she now has her mansion on the Hilltop in heaven. She is survived by four daughters, Tanya Leonhart, Lacretia Shearer, Javana and husband Roger Langley, Shanna and husband Jeff Kenney; grandchildren Brandon Crouse, Tamara Hanan, Jason Russell, Brook Sharp, Jessica Russell, Shane Kenney, and Colton Kenney; great-grandchilden Ashley Crouse, Jacob, Andrew and Olivia Russell, Madeline Beck, Halie and Trace Sharp, Jaxon and Nevin Hanan; great-great-grandaughter Alexis Crouse; brother-in-law Calvin Stonecypher; aunt Stella Kirkpatrick; many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as her Stonebrook family. She is preceded in death by her parents; Ray, her husband of over 50 years; sons-in-law John Shearer and Bob Skelton; brother Billy Ray Petty Sr. and wife Margaret; sister Maxine Stonecypher; father and mother-in-law M.L. and Effie Singleton; sister-in-law Alma Bates and husband Amos; brother-in-law Cleo Singleton and wife Lucille; sister-in-law Norma Turner; sister-in law Fay Shone and husband Ray. A mother holds her childrens hand for a short time, but holds their hearts forever. We Love you and will miss you dearly Momma. |

Obituary: Following a long and fulfilling life, Alice Huie Singleton passed away quietly on , 12, 2004 in Austin, Texas. Prior to moving to Austin, she and her late husband, Jack R. Singleton, had been long-time residents of San Antonio, where they were active in many civic and church activities. Alice was a native of Bowdon, Georgia, the fourth born and last surviving of ten children. Alice was a vivacious person, a gracious hostess and a lifetime member of the San Antonio Garden Club, who enjoyed travel, gardening and family reunions with her large extended family. her retirement from a civil service career at Randolph Air Force Base, she served as a volunteer for numerous civic organizations, including the San Antonio Botanical and the Northeast Methodist Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Rita F. Howard of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Janet Howard Dunnell and husband, Michael of Austin; grandson, Stuart Alan Howard and wife, Elizabeth; great granddaughters, Catherine and Evelyn of Dallas; niece, Faye E. Shenk of Austin; great nephews, John, Robert and Alvin Shenk; numerous other nieces and nephews in Texas and Georgia. It was her wish that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 404 North Alamo, San Antonio, TX 78205 or the San Antonio Botanical Garden for the Blind, 555 Funston, San Antonio, TX 78209. |
