Obituary: Charles Sild was born 29, 1933, in New York City. Just two weeks before, his parents had come to this country from St. Petersburg, Russia, sponsored by Russian friends already here. Two evangelist uncles prayed regularly beside his crib that he might come to know the Lord as he grew up.

By age fifteen Charles was in Highland, New York, where a Word of Life camp meeting was being held. He was the only student from his high school who attended. It was the very first time Charles had heard Ephesians 2: 1-10. For by grace you have been saved through faith: and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. That night God gave him understanding and the power to believe. John 1:12 and Romans 10:9 and 10.

A school friend led him to a Baptist church where he was mentored by a Christian couple who became his Christian family. He was directed to a Bible college in Binghamton, New York. In years to come he would serve on its Board when it became Davis . Charles also graduated from John Brown University in Arkansas, and was a graduate student at the University of Arkansas when he met Jackie. Later he would attend the School of Finance at New York University.

Charles and Jackie moved back to Jackies home church, First Baptist of Dallas, where they taught in the young peoples division and Charles was a junior deacon. had already discovered the Doctrines of Grace by reading Charles Spurgeon. Seeking more instruction, they moved to Grace Bible Church and met Dr. Gary Long. The Lord also led them to Believers Chapel in Dallas, where under the teaching of Dr. Lewis Johnson, their love for doctrine continued to grow. Soon they began to attend conferences in Salado, Texas, and at a conference in Jackson, Mississippi, they met Dr. Ron McKinney. That meeting led to the formation of a sovereign grace church in Dallas. Pastor McKinney was a major influence in the teen-age lives of the Sild children, John Sild and Cathy Mason. He has been our dear friend ever since. Today he pastors Kinsey Drive Baptist Church in Dalton,Georgia.

Eventually a seminary was born out of the prayers and dreams of Dr. Gary Long and others. Providence Theological Seminary is in Colorado Springs, and Charles has been on the Board since its beginning.

Charles business career spans fifty years. He has worked as an investment broker for such firms as Merrill Lynch and Drexel Burnham Lambert. He was currently a broker for the Dallas office of Sunbelt Securities. His many loyal clients he counts as friends.

Charles and Jackies fifty fourth anniversary will be the twenty fourth day of . have two believing children who serve the Lord with gladness and are bringing up their own children in the faith.

Charles and Jackie both thank the Lord for Tom Pennington and Countryside Bible Church. The church family has been a real support and a wonderful place to nurture our grandchildren.

, l3, the Lord called Charles home. Our family offers praise to God for giving Charles to us as our guide and our earthly shepherd.

Charles will be remembered as a loyal husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Sild of Dallas; son, John Charles Sild and wife Renea of Sherman, Texas, and daughter, Catherine Victoria Sild Mason and husband Dr. Scott Mason of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Kathryn and Caroline Sild of Sherman, Texas, and Mitchell and Chase Mason of Keller, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Obituary: On 13, 2016, Anne Silberberg passed on from her home in Texas to her home in Heaven. This beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother “Gigi” and friend was loved dearly by three generations of children.

Anne was born 4, 1928 in Astoria, New York to Jerome and Carmela Rigoroso. There she resided with her parents and Sal Rigoroso, her dearly loved brother and knight in shining armor. In 1945, Anne graduated from Long Island City High School as Valedictorian. She was married to Robert Silberberg from 1947 until his death in 1985.

Anne had three children: Carole, Janet and Robert. She enjoyed being a homemaker to her family for many wonderful years; she loved her recipes and collected hundreds of cookbooks. She was a spectacular cook, baker and board game enthusiast, Scrabble being her favorite. In 1967, Anne began working part-time at Sears in Glendale, California. Once her children were older, she began a full-time career at Sears.

In 1982, Anne transferred to a new Sears store in Plano, TX, where she earned several recognitions during her career before retiring in 1994. Still having so much to give, she began volunteering at the Medical of Plano. During her many years there at H2U, she met her dearest friends with whom she played cards and traveled for many years. Anne’s greatest attributes were her spirited nature, her unfailing positive outlook on life, and her adaptability to life challenges. Her greatest sadness was the loss of her beautiful daughter Janet in 2009.

Anne is survived by her daughter Carole Gray and husband Colin Martin of Coppell, her son Robert Silberberg and wife Elicia of Wylie, and her brother Sal Rigoroso and wife Maria of Valley Stream, NY. Further, she is survived by her loving grandchildren: Nikki Williamson of Dallas, Eric Blazon and wife Fe of Sherman Oaks, CA, John Gray of Houston, as well as great-grandchildren: Austin Gray and Dillon Gray of Hays, KS. She is also survived by her in-laws: Ric Blazon of Burbank, CA, Milton and Aurora Silberberg of Lake Mary, FL, as well as her nieces and nephews: Nancy Santilli and Deborah Silberberg of FL, Jerome, Robert and Michelle Rigoroso, of NY, Camille Murphy of VA and her beloved sweet Katie.

Our family wishes to thank Bobbie Sanchez for her faithful companionship and care. We are beyond grateful for her friends and the staff at the Remington Senior Living Community for their friendship as well as the remarkable quality of life they provide to their senior residents. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the PCU nurses at Las Colinas Medical for their dignified and compassionate treatment. Finally, thank you to Illeane, RN and Ruth Gardner for using love, humor and unshakable positivity to enhance her care.

Anne will be deeply missed and remembered for her kindness and uncompromising love for her family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 30th at Rolling Oaks in Coppell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105; Disabled American Veterans (DAV) P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or to the charity of your choice.
