Obituary: Johnny Edward Signorelli, beloved husband of 52 years, strong patriarch and loving father of 3 boys and friend to many, passed away 10th, 2017. Johnny was born to Mary Lee and Vincent Signorelli on May 15th, 1945 and grew up in Conroe, Texas where he excelled in sports, music and art at a young age. An accomplished artist, musician, and athlete, Johnny enjoyed success in most things in which he took an interest. From playing football for the Conroe Tigers to running track, pole vaulting, to competing at state in choir, Johnny always pushed himself to excel. Johnny met the love of his life at the very young age of 12. In the 6th grade, he started dating Pam, and throughout the 60 years, the two were inseparable. In high school, Johnny was number 42 on the Conroe Tiger football team. Nicknamed Johnny Jet, he was a star running back, scoring touchdowns and leading the Tigers to Championships under his mentor Coach Chuck York. Johnny went to Ranger Jr and Sam Houston State University before going to work as an architect. His artistic talent helped him excel in architecture. As an AIBD licensed architect working at Pitts, Phelps, White and Sax, Johnny worked on commercial projects for U of H and others, before moving into the residential side and going to work for his father-in- law, Jim Fuller, Sr. Johnny spent many years in real estate and mortgage banking, working with Jim Fuller, Sr. and ultimately for himself, designing, developing, and building homes. Johnny was a consummate entrepreneur and enjoyed much success over his career. Johnny was a doting father and grandfather. He was happiest when supporting his boys and grand kids on any endeavor and never missed an activity. And even more happy when all were together, and he could cook steaks on the grill-the more the merrier. Johnny loved to cook and loved his family time. Up until the week of his passing, he was still enjoying watching his grandkids grow and take on new challenges. He was so proud and will be missed by all. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lee and Vincent Signorelli, brothers, Bernie and Don Apostolo, and sister-in-law, Jan Fuller. Obituary: Jim L. Signor of Conroe died morning, 16, at the home he and his wife Emily shared for over 45 years. He was 77 years old. Emily was at his side at the time of his passing. Jim was born in Abilene, Texas on 19, 1936 with his identical twin brother Charles. He was the first-born of Lee Frederick and Ruth Mary Teas Signor. Jim and Charles had two sisters and a brother. Jim and his twin brother enjoyed a wonderful, carefree childhood growing up in Abilene. In 1950, the family moved to Conroe where Jim and Charles helped their father open and run a feed store. Jim entered Conroe High School as a freshman that year and graduated in 1954. He attended Texas Tech University as well as the University of Houston. In 1959, he married Emily Jean Harris, also of Conroe. Jim Signor and Ed Triplet were the first two people in Montgomery to earn real estate brokers licenses. Throughout the 1960s, Jim acquired land from the Champion Paper . During that same period, he operated Signor Nursery with twin brother Charles. This business was a natural for the brothers-their mother Ruth was a member the Teas family of Houston, who owned and operated one of the first and largest nursery and landscaping companies in the region.
In the1960s Jim was an active member of Conroe Jaycee's (Junior Chamber of Commerce). He served on the Board of Directors of Probank in the1980s, and he was also a member of the Cattlemen's Association. At the time of his death, he owned two working cattle ranches, one in Rotan in West Texas and one outside Hamilton in Central Texas. Jim was a real Cowboy. When God needed the best for that big Texas ranch in the sky, he called Jim home. He was a top rancher and was so gentle with his cows. He was an avid hunter, and was a crack shot. Even at 77 years of age, he could out-work anyone (especially his sons-in-law). When the sun came up he was soon out in the fields, tending to his beloved ranch and cattle. His entire family enjoyed special times at the ranch, where everyone was a cowboy. all learned ranch life from him, and he was thrilled to teach anyone who was interested. Joey Rodriguez, married to Jims youngest daughter, Sylva, said Jim was the wisest person he had ever met, whose unspoken words often conveyed the most profound opinion in the room. Joey looked upon Jim as the father he never had, but also considered him more than that-a friend and mentor. Jim's life was filled with an abundance of love. He married a princess and spent more than a half-century at her side. He loved his children, and his two daughters doted over him every day. Dede loved his grandchildren, and they loved him greatly. Jim loved his dogs, and his cows. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, his father and his sister, Sylvia Ruth Signor. He is survived by his wife Emily, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on 21 of this year; his twin brother Charles Edward Signor and his wife Joanne of Montgomery; brother Rusty Signor and his wife BethAnn of Dripping Springs, Texas; sister Betsy Josephine Signor of Sealy, Texas; his eldest daughter Celia Signor Wyatt and her husband Kevin Wyatt of Houston; son Jim Harris Signor of West Hollywood, California; and his youngest daughter Sylvia Signor Rodriguez and her husband Joey Rodriguez of Houston. Jims grandchildren are Brett Kevin-Michael Wyatt, Carson Lynn-Ann Wyatt, SuAnna Elizabeth Wyatt, Cole Joseph Rodriguez, Meredith Emily Rodriguez, Graceson Noelle Wyatt, Lee Hudson Rodriguez, and Allison Hope Allyrose Rodriguez. services will be held at Cashners on , 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 morning. Jim Signors sudden passing has left a great emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends. But their memory of his soft-spoken wit, his conviction of principles, his strength of character, and his devotion to those whose love he shared and cherished will endure forever. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the First Church - Christian Scientist, 501 Wilson Road, Conroe, Texas 77301, Phone 936-756-9020 for more information.
