Obituary: On , May 31, 2014, Glen Vernon Shelinbarger, our beloved and awesome husband, dad and papa, went home to be with our Lord. Memorial service: 10 a.m. , 9, at the grave in Parkdale in Arlington. He was born Nov. 6, 1937, to Ellsworth and Charlotte Shelinbarger in Woodward, Okla. He was married to his sweetheart, Edith Crowell, for 57 years. His pride and joy were his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He retired from Bell Helicopter. Survivors: His wife, Edith; children, Lee, Cathie, Tammy, Rodney, Troy and Melisa; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Laura Crowell Beaver; special cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews. |

He is survived by his wife: Mary Sheldon; daughter: Sylvia Marin; 3 grandchildren: Jovanna Gallardo, Rachael Gallardo, Anthony Flores; 6 great-grandchildren: Alena Ramirez, Alexis Ramirez, Leanna Rodriguez, Ivan Espino, Naeveh Flores and Nadia Flores; brothers: Gilbert Sheldon and Manuel Mendoza. Leroy was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and a proud graduate of Jefferson High School Class of 1955. He honorably served in the US NAVY where he was given the Good Conduct Medal in of 1959. He loved playing Pool with his team the Pool Hounds. Pallbearers will be Anthony Flores, Gilbert Sheldon, Chris Sheldon, Steven Avila, Manuel Mendoza and Robert Martin. Obituary: John Anthony Sheldon passed away peacefully, at home, 17, 2017. John was 61 years old. He was born 24, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas. John courageously battled cancer for over 8 years. John is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mary Ann and Manuel Cirlos Sr. (a strong mentor throughout Johns life). John is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, beloved cousins, uncles, and aunts along with his in-laws, Patricio (Pat) and Ruth Botello. John is survived by his mother, Josephine Cirlos Sheldon, father, Florentino T. Sheldon Jr., sister Mary Frances Vasquez (Greg). Key survivors in Johns life are his beloved wife of 37 years Rebecca (Becky) Botello Sheldon, beloved sons Anthony (Tony) Sheldon, Mark Anthony Sheldon and granddaughter, Carla Garza-Sheldon. Johns working career began at age ten shining shoes at Shopmart Barber Shop and selling concessions at local sporting venues such as The Sportatoreum. As John grew older and obtained a drivers license, he obtained his first eal partime job at Panjos Pizza Parlor. He worked at Panjos while attending Ray High School, Del Mar , and on breaks from the University of Texas at Austin. graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Texas, John chose to work for a Fortune 50 telecommunications company for the next 27 years. He completed his MBA at Corpus Christi State University in 1993. Johns second career was spent working the next 10 years in pharmaceutical sales. John was always interested in the dynamics of the stock market. He remained an active stock trader until the final weeks of his life. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on , 20, 2017 at Corpus Christi with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that same evening. A Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on , 21, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, John requested that donations be made to Holy Cross Church, 1109 N. Staples, CC TX 78401; St. Jude Childrens Hospital, or Triumph Over Kid Cancer.
