Obituary: Patsy (Pat) Martindale Semenuk, age 82, passed away 30, 2014. Pat was born on 26, 1931 in Clarksville, TX to Wessie and Edgar Martindale, Sr. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister LaVerne Lonsberry and her brother E.C. Martindale, Jr. She is survived by her son Michael D. Fountain and his wife, Kathy, grandson Michael D. Fountain, Jr., great-grandson Michael D. Fountain III, and many nieces and nephews. Pat graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1948 and attended Massey Business . With the arrival of NASA in the Clear Lake Area, Pat spent many years with Ford Aerospace. Then she accepted a position with the R.E. Bob and Vivian L. Smith Foundation, where she happily worked for 13 years until her early retirement at age 62. Pat enjoyed her time spent with friends and family and her retiree group luncheons. She was an avid Astros fan and supporter from their inception. Richard had a great zest for life. He loved family, friends, fishing, golf, hunting and cars. He had great dreams. Obituary: It is with great sadness we share the passing of our beloved father Kenneth Oscar Sembrick. He went to be with our Lord on morning after nearly 95 years of life as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Ken was born on 24, 1922 in rural Polk Minnesota. He served in WWII in the Navy as an airplane mechanic in the South Pacific. He also served in the Army during the Korean War. He later retired from the Army National Guard. He was proud to serve our country. Ken worked for Braniff Airlines for 27 years bringing his family to Farmers Branch, Texas in 1962. Next, he became a Century 21 Realtor and worked well into his 80s selling homes. Lastly, he enjoyed being a golf course marshal at Indian Creek golf course. Ken was devoted to his family. He and first wife, Renee, had six children, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is known as Papa to them all. Ken loved family gatherings, playing cards, eating sweets, fishing, golfing and going to the casino. He shared his trademark sense of humor with all and we are lucky to have many stories of humorous things he said and did. Kens father was a first-generation immigrant from Sweden and he loved keeping Swedish traditions alive by enjoying special foods at the holidays. He loved to travel, even as recent as this year, and had taken many trips with family from Alaska to Europe. Ken was full of energy and loved to be busy; he worked on puzzles and played cards with friends nearly every day. He was a large presence to our family and set a wonderful example of what it meant to be a Godly father, husband and friend. Ken is preceded home by wife Renee Sembrick, daughter Cynthia Sembrick, son Richard Sembrick, son-n-law James Brassfield and second wife Kay Blosel Sembrick, who we lost in 2017. Ken is survived by his daughter Pat Brassfield, daughter Kris Kennard and husband Scott Kennard, daughter Lynn Conroy and husband Rick Conroy, and son Ron Sembrick and wife Stacey Sembrick. He has ten grandchildren: Ryan, Alyssa and Dylan Kennard, Holly Fannin, Brandon Sembrick, Sierra Henry, Jason Brassfield and Nick, Natalee and Noelle Sembrick. He has nine great- grandchildren: Joshua, Jaxon, Jett and Callie Sembrick, Ashtyn Seymour, Cole and Jack Fannin and Calvin Kennard. We know how very blessed we were to have him for 94 years and we will miss our Dad. A life well lived and a man well loved. In honor of Ken, there will be a visitation on , 7th at 6:30 pm at Ted Dickey West , located at 8011 Frankford. A celebration service will be held on , 8th at 3 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, located at 1200 E. Hebron Parkway, Carrollton with a reception immediately following at the church. Obituary: Catherine Louise (Craven) Blosel joined the Lord on , 09, 2017. Catherine was born on , 20, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Albert and Catherine Clark Craven. She was joyfully welcomed into the family by her older siblings; Albert, James, and Rose. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Mt. Lebanon Sr. High School. To friends and family she would be fondly referred to as Kay. She worked as a Cosmetic Specialist at the Macys cosmetic counter in Pittsburgh through her twenties. In her early twenties she married James Thomas Blosel Sr. In 1951 the couple welcomed their son, James Thomas Blosel Jr. into the world and Kay dedicated herself to being a loving wife and mother. James and Kay were married until his untimely passing in 1992. She was blessed with two handsome grandsons, Garrett and Scott Blosel. spending some time on her own, Kay and dear-friend Ken Sembrick developed a great relationship which led to their marriage in 1996. Kay gained six wonderful step-children and many grandchildren with their union. Ken and Kay enjoyed their years of marriage until Kays recent passing. Kays friends and family remember her as a strong-willed, loving, considerate, humble, adventurous, caring, and giving person. She was a good Christian woman and attended Grace Lutheran Church. Her son, Jim, fondly looks back on her as the most awesome mother a son could have. The adventurous side of Kay showed throughout her life. At age seventy-two Kay learned to drive! She took to it like a duck to water. At age seventy-four she did some rock-wall climbing and learned to snow-ski! She enjoyed being a volunteer for hospitals. She was a bright shining star and brought much joy to others through her uplifting spirit. Kay enjoyed music and some of her favorites were Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and the Bee Gees (especial the song Stayin Alive). Kay was preceded in death by her first husband: James Thomas Blosel Sr., parents: Albert and Catherine Craven, brothers: Albert and James, step-brother Richard Sembrick, sister: Rose, step-sister Cynthia Sembrick, and step-son-in-law James Brassfield. Martin was a big and happy and joked everyday. He is survived by, Di Anne Joslin Semands, (his Partner, his Girlfriend, his Bride) he was married to her Forever. He left behind his more than special granddaughter Shelby Lynn Semands, his son Donald Martin Semands (Lisa), his two more than special stepsons, Cyrus Brandon Lipe (Misti) and Camdon Joslin Lipe. Two more granddaughters Taylor Weinzettle and Linda K. Semands. Sister Pamela Clendenen. Three nephews Christopher Steven Bartlett, David Martin Bartlett and Daniel Stout. Martin worked side by side with his dad in construction, and loved telling stories about when he was buried alive during the Montgomery court house edition and rode the crane carrying the steeple to top off the First Baptist Church in Conroe. Martin enjoyed working for the MCSO, deer hunting, horses, and traveling. He loved the good life of Family and Faith. His later years with the Weinzettle Family he enjoyed his red 1957 Chevy and the car club guys. To honor Martin give to the American Cancer Society or church. Obituary: Barbara Rothe Semaan, age 82, passed away on , 31, 2009. Barbara was born in Big Springs, TX on 21, 1927 to Elmer and Anna Lyell Rothe. She was a longtime resident of San Antonio and a longtime member of Central Christian Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of over 20 years, Fred Semaan and brother, Robert Rothe. She is survived by daughter, Annanel Semaan Register of San Antonio, TX; granddaughters, Jessica Semaan and Heather Bruce; grandsons, Ian Bruce, Sean Bruce and Bryan Register. Visitation will be held on , 1, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 at Porter Loring on McCullough. Interment in Hondo , Hondo, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to The Alzheimers Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur Suite #200, San Antonio, TX 78229. |
