Obituary: Margaret Yvonne Sinnott Seitter – Peggy, as everyone knew her – died peacefully and comfortably, on , May 14, 2010. Peggy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on 23, 1937 to Joseph and Ruth Sinnott. She attended Gettysburg where, in 1957, she met her life-long love, Jerry Seitter. Peggy and Jerry were married for 47 years before his death in 2006. Peggy was the wind beneath my wings for Jerry, first as he completed medical school and then for a wonderful and happy 34 year career together in the United States Army. Their military assignments took them to Army Posts across the United States, Germany, Korea and Hawaii, but their home was firmly established in San Antonio beginning in 1965. Always an adventurous lover of life, Peggy enjoyed family camping, volksmarching, fishing, bird watching, and travelling the world. Peggy loved to cook and entertain and was admired by everyone for her ability to do both so well. Finding joy throughout her life in the theater and in music, Peggy sang for many years in the MacArthur Park Lutheran Church choir. Active in military family support organizations, she volunteered as a financial counselor with Army Community Service, the girl scouts and numerous officers wives clubs. Peggys devotion to her family was obvious to everyone who knew her and she will be lovingly remembered by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major General Girard Jerry Seitter III, MD, United States Army Ret; and her parents, Joseph and Ruth Sinnott. She is survived by her son, Girard Seitter IV and wife Leigh Anne; daughter, Christine Halder, and husband Matthew; daughter, Kathleen Radvany and husband Martin; and daughter, Margaret Seitter; brother-in-law, George H. Seitter; eleven grandchildren – Laura, Kathleen, Bobbi, Deborah, Ashley, Tracy, Elizabeth, Nicole, Joseph, Daniel, Jacob; six nieces and a grand-nephew; many dear and wonderful friends and her precious Angel. The family will receive friends on , May 18, 2010 from 10:30 – 11:30 A.M. at MacArthur Park Lutheran Church, before the service. SERVICE TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2010 11:30 A.M. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane L. Seiter, his son, Gary Lee Seiter; brothers Donald Ray, Carl and David Seiter.
