Obituary: Services for Louis Edward Seiler, 76, of Dallas, will be 10:30 a.m., , 20, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 South Jupiter, Richardson, TX with Father Timothy Heines officiating. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Parish Hall following the mass. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 pm , 19 with a Rosary following at 7:30 at Sparkman , 1029 South Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX. Mr. Seiler passed away , 15 in Richardson. Louis was born 31, 1936 in Enid, Oklahoma; the youngest child of William and Mary Seiler. His mother died of pneumonia shortly after his birth. He was raised by his older sisters and an assortment of aunts. He told stories of pulling his wagon to the one room schoolhouse where he was the youngest student and of racing through the house to shake the floor and make his sisters freshly baked cakes fall which often resulted in being chased with either a butcher knife or BB gun which he hid from in the old combine on the farm. His love of dancing a good polka came from his dad who played the fiddle at barn dances and he would go along and dance with the elderly widows. He graduated from Wakita High School and drove the school bus while he was still in school. graduation he joined the Air Force and spoke fondly of his time spent in Alaska. During this time he took some time to take some trips. He loved to tell about going to Niagra Falls and staying in the honeymoon suite all by himself. He met Ethel Mae Bradley by way of his brother John whose fiancé Karen was taking classes at the Catholic church in Enid. He was working in Dallas and going to mortuary science school at the time. married 9, 1962 and celebrated 50 years of marriage this past . they married, he worked at Republic National Bank as a teller. Later he went to work at Acme Granite and Marble in cemetery and mausoleum sales. This led to moves to Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado before returning to Dallas. Back in the metroplex he worked at Rosehill in Fort Worth. One of the many, shall we say, astonishing things he has done was ride his bicycle from Haltom City to downtown Fort Worth to pick up his car from his favorite mechanic. The same mechanic that each of us kids, on numerous occasions, were the hapless driver of some vehicle he towed from Dallas to Fort Worth for repair. Some times the ow rope seemed to be nothing more than dental floss. a time at Rosehill, he came to work for Restland and then later Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville. etiring from sales he drove a bus for DART. This included a fun trip to DFW airport following Margaret and Blairs wedding for a send off for their Disney honeymoon. leaving DART, he worked delivering payrolls for a courier service. It seemed no matter what job he did, it involved driving and contact with people. He loved to talk to people and could spin quite a tale himself. Over his lifetime he had many side jobs, including grounds keeping at a small racetrack in Colorado, and mowing lawns which some how seemed almost therapeutic for him. Of his many interests, he always loved going to the dirt track car races. At 70 he could still ride White Rock Lake on his bike and after etiring to Winnsboro on the weekends, he would get his chores done so he could go enjoy the musical entertainment at the Crossroads in downtown. He loved old cars and owned several over his lifetime. He often joked about being buried in the last one he owned - an avocado green Fleetwood (His green casket is as close as we could come to making that come true). He was an active member of the North Texas Cadillac and LaSalle Club for many years. He enjoyed their many trips and Bugtussle Treks. Although he worked mowing yards, he still loved just puttering around in the yard. It was a challenge for him to see if he could get stuff to grow. He made lots of great memories for us kids. When we lived in Kansas, our house was on a cul-da-sac and he used his riding lawnmower to make a train of wagons from the neighbor kids and give rides, pulling us round and round. In Missouri, the lake in a nearby park froze over every winter and we would go with our disk sled and he would use a rope to spin us around and slingshot us off into a snow bank. Although he was not much of a swimmer, he loved to be in the pool and would let us climb on his back for whale rides. Later those became horsey rides for his granddaughters. Two of his favorite foods were Snickers candy bars and strawberry ice cream. As kids Mom would get the boxes of Neopolitan ice cream. Brad and I would get the chocolate, Mom and Margaret ate the vanilla ice cream and Dad got the strawberry. He liked to play dominos and canasta but was the kind of guy who could count the dominos and know what everyone had or watch the cards discarded and know who held which cards. It was hard to win a game against him. He did a lot of things to help out family and friends. He drove to West Virginia to help our aunt and her kids move back here to Texas. The sight of them pulling up in the drive way with the four of them in the suburban, pulling my aunts car and both automobiles piled and packed looked like the Beverly Hillbillies. Obituary: Lloyd Sterling Seiler Jr., 71, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on , 16, 2014. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and an adoring grandfather. He was born 14, 1943, in San Antonio to the late Lloyd Seiler Sr. and Charlotte (Bedford) Seiler of Seguin. graduating from Marshall High School, he was a combat veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the 9th Marines where he was wounded in action and awarded two Purple Heart medals. He began a career in banking and real estate development working for Broadway National Bank and Alamo Heights National Bank, as well as Schaefer Properties. He was an avid sports fan, outdoorsman and hunter. Lloyd was also a devoted supporter of the MacArthur High School marching band during his sons tenure there and played a key role in managing the bands equipment and pre-game festivities. He was a long-time member of the San Antonio Livestock Auction Committee. He is survived by his wife Char, his mother Charlotte Seiler of Seguin, his children Tracy Lynnette Seiler of Austin and Chad Seiler and his wife Shadi of Los Gatos, California, his grandchildren Gavin and Leila Seiler, and his former wife Sue Seiler. He is also survived by his stepson Jeffrey Spies and grandchildren Kelsey Spies and Ryan Spies of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and his nephew Christopher Bice. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Sterling Seiler Sr. and his sister Janice Marie Bice. Services will be held at Sunset in San Antonio on , 20th. Visitation will be held at 1 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2pm. A burial service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National at a later date. |

Obituary: Lenore Antonnette Hausler Seiler, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on 1, 2008. She was the daughter of Emil and Antoinette Hausler, born on 8, 1911, in Gonzales, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Herbert H. Seiler, and her six brothers, George, Wesley, Edgar, Alton, Monroe, and Howard Hausler. She was a dedicated Christian woman, a faithful charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her beautiful smile and her love of people. She took great pleasure in entertaining and in the loving preparation of wonderful food and fun for family events and celebrations. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Janice Waits and her husband, John, Kathryn Bramble and her husband, Ron; five grandchildren, Deborah Clegg, Gregory Waits, Chris Waits, Dr. Julia Quinlan, and Kristin Koether; seven great grandchildren, Nichole, Jillian, and Patricia Clegg, Elizabeth Bess, Brittany LaForge, Sean and Morgan Quinlan, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family that she held dear. Her passing is eased by the certainty that she is now at rest and reunited with loved ones passed. We know that at the moment of her passing as we said, She is gone, there were other voices ready to take up the glad shout, Here she comes! Praise God! Obituary: Harry Muffin Seiler, Jr., 80, an eleven year resident of Village Mills, Texas coming from the Beaumont and Lumberton areas, passed away on 29, 2017 in Woodville. He was born on 24, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas to his parents Harry Dave Seiler, Sr. and Marjorie Nita McGee Seiler who preceded him in death. Mr. Seiler was a Personnel/Safety Manager for Jacob Engineering. He was a Baptist by faith and attended the Wildwood Baptist Church in Village Mills. Mr. Seiler was a former member of the Y.M.B.L. of Beaumont, the past President of the Beaumont Rotary Club, and past President of Goodwill Industries. He loved sports especially was an avid golfer and also a high school basketball referee. He is survived by his loving wife; Peggy Jean Seiler of Village Mills, four sons; Michael Seiler and wife Karen of Mansfield, David Seiler and wife Michelle of Fullerton, CA., Terry Knight and wife Julie of Long Tree, Colorado, Timothy Knight and wife Bo of Vancouver, Washington, daughters; Sherrie Teasley and fiance Nick Fielder of Beaumont, and Melissia Berry of Orangefield. There are also surviving fourteen grandchildren; Jennifer Knight, Megan Seiler, Justin Knight, Emily Toups and husband Allen, Madison Seiler, Lexis Seiler, Bailey Berry, Garrett Seiler, Jeremy Teasley, Katie Teasley, Brayden Berry, Savannah Seiler, Sarah Teasley, Samson Seiler, and one great grandson; Trey Toups. Obituary: Aubrey Rip Seiler, 84, passed away peacefully on , 7, 2012, in Boerne. A loving husband, devoted father, and true friend, he was born in San Antonio on 7, 1927, to Gustav and Clara Seiler. Rip was a lifelong resident of the San Antonio and Boerne area. Another of the Greatest Generation, he served his country honorably in WWII, in the United States Navy. He also served God as a member of First United Methodist Church of Boerne, and was a member of Kendall Lodge 897 A.F. & A.M. He was active in the Kronkosky Place Rainbow in Boerne. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years of service, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Rip was a friend to all and could fix anything. He stayed on the right path, never wavered, and always did the right thing. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the ranch with Shirley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, in 1995. Survivors include his children, Rhonda Reidenbach, and Gregory Seiler and wife Donna; his grandchildren, James Justin Jones, Jamie Jones-Reidenbach, and great-granddaughter Alexia Lynn; Reagan Seiler, and Whitney Seiler; and his loving companion, Shirley Steitle. MEMORIAL SERVICE FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2012 2:00 P.M. FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 205 JAMES STREET BOERNE, TX Rev. Kimberly Burke will officiate.
