Obituary: Joyce Searcey, of Garland, wife of K.D. Searcey, passed away 18, 2014. Joyce was born 3, 1946 in Terrell, Texas to C.G. and Daisy (Samples) Smith, both of whom preceded her in death along with her brother, Jerry Smith. Joyce worked as a computer programmer with various banking and credit agencies, most recently with Experian until her retirement. She was an expert at playing card games and she enjoyed poker but Joyce beat them all when she challenged anyone to a game of spades. Spending time with family was always Joyce’s priority and her favorite place to be was where ever her family gathered. She enjoyed fishing and many memories were made with family and friends while they fished for anything they could catch. Her strong faith and Baptist background gave Joyce an enthusiastic spirit and personality that made sure all who met her saw the Lord shine through her. A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, treasured sister and friend to so many, Joyce will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joyce is survived by her husband, K.D. Searcey; children: Kenny, Tonja, Kevin, Kirk, Shane and Danny Ray; grandchildren: Joshua, Jessa, Jason, Hunter, Larry, Brady, Rachel, Bonnie, Trevor and India; great grandchildren: Shelbie, Lane, Caleb, and Cierra; brother, Charles Smith as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. service will be at 3:00pm, , 22, 2104 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, , Dec. 21, at the funeral home. Obituary: Barbara Jean Seamster, age 88, passed away 10, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born 5, 1926, in Seattle, Washington to Mark and Eva Shields. Barbara moved to Ft. Worth in 1966 and from there she traveled the world. She enjoyed traveling so much she opened her own travel company Barbaras Travel Place which she operated for many years. Even after she sold her company she continued to design trips for people through different agencies. She and her husband loved to travel worldwide on their cruises. her retirement, Barbara was a travel ambassador at DFW Airport for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Seamster in 1989; brother, Peter; grandson, Scott and her cats, Ying and Yang. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nancy Headland and husband Phil; son, Robert Seamster and wife Cherie; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Whitley and husband Paul; sister-in-law, Betty Shields; and several nieces and nephews. Obituary: Alan Craig Seamend, better known as Pop, passed away , 21, 2016. Alan was born on 8, 1955 in Independence, Missouri to Gene and Margaret Seamend. At the age of 5, Alan and his three siblings, Terry, Sandi and Debbie, moved to Ellington Air Force base in Webster, Texas. The family later relocated to League City where they found permanent residency and Alan made a life-long friendship with Vic Squier. In 1975 Alan married Gloria Christmann and later welcomed 2 children, Angela and Alan. Alan attended of the Mainland Police Academy. He graduated in 1977 and served as a police officer for the better part of 10 years, where he earned the nickname of Bull Flea. He then made a career change to the Automatic Welding and Pipeline Industry, where he had the opportunity to work and travel overseas. Alan never met a stranger. To know him was to love him. His compassion and generosity for others was unlike any other. If you needed it and he had it to give, it was yours! He loved watching his grandsons play sports and his granddaughter dance. Alan referred to himself, children and grandchildren as the A Team. Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, of Joaquin, Texas. Alan is survived by his beloved dog, Heidi; daughter, Angela and husband Daniel of Seabrook, Texas; son, Alan and wife Melissa of Seabrook, Texas; grandchildren Aidan, Aubre, Ally, Shelby and Madison; mother of his children and life-long friend, Gloria Christmann; father, Gene of Joaquin, Texas; brother, Terry and wife Nancy of Hastings, Nebraska; sisters Sandi and husband Allen of Bayview, Texas and Debbie and husband Tom of Waco, Texas. The family will receive friends on , 27, 2016 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East .
