Obituary: George Richard Schwausch of Jarrell, son of Gustav and Lydia (Neitsch) Schwausch was born on 7th, 1922 at home in Jarrell. He was brought into the family of God through the waters of Holy Baptism on 17, 1922 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. He renewed his Baptismal promise on 21, 1937 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. On 5, 1953 he was united in marriage to Florence Elsie Urban at St. Paul Serbin. George was called to his eternal home on 6, 2014.

George lived his entire life in the Jarrell and Walburg area and was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. He attended Zion Lutheran School, played in the church band, sang in the church choir, served on the Board of Elders and the Board of Education, and was a member of the Lutheran Layman's League.
graduating from Zion Lutheran School, like most people in the area, he joined his family in the cotton patch. He continued farming for the rest of his life.

George entered the Army on 14, 1944. He had his Basic Training at Camp Hood and was trained as an Anti Tank Gunner Crewman. Preparing to leave for Europe, a last second change in orders sent him to the Philippine Islands. There he joined the 158th Regimental Combat Team preparing for the invasion of Japan. Japan surrendered, he served out the rest of his tour with the 720th Military Police in Tokyo until his Honorable Discharge on 19, 1946. He was an active member of the American Legion, post 317 in Jarrell.

Times were tough on the farm in the 50's, so he went to work in the metal shop at Griggs Equipment in Belton. He was a machine operator, forklift operator, and finally moved into the position of foreman. 25 years, he went to work for Preferred Stamping in Round Rock as a die setter and then foreman, until he retired in 1992.

George leaves to mourn his passing, his two sons Dennis and Kenneth and his daughter Donna Denson of Jarrell. He is also survived by his brother Bill Schwausch of Kerrville, Texas; three granddaughters Dorothy, Michelle, and Brandy; grandson Avery; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; sister Laura Stierhoff; brothers Arthur, Albert, Herman, Gus, and Otto Schwausch.

Pallbearers are John Schwausch, Rick Schwausch, Jay Turner, Robert Andres, Milton Urban, and James Kalbas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Lutheran Hour Ministries, Zion Lutheran , or the charity of your choice.

Obituary: Eldor E. Schwausch, age 81, a lifetime resident of Copperas Cove passed away in Copperas Cove with his family at his side.

Eldor was born 17, 1934 in Coryell to Theodore Schwausch and Hulda Richter Schwausch.

He graduated from Copperas Cove High School with the Class of 1951. He later served in the United States Air Force where he received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Service Defense Medal.

Upon returning to Copperas Cove Eldor was the local State Farm Insurance Agent for 32 years until his retirement. He was very active in the Community as a member of the Jaycees, the Copperas Cove Rotary Club, Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce where he served as a cook for the Military Affairs Committee, the Lutheran Mens Club and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Eldor was also very active with the Coryell Youth Fair in Gatesville where he helped many children continue their education by raising money in Copperas Cove. He was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Eldor had a love for family, the outdoors, traveling, wood working, sports and working in his yard. He was very proud of the fact that his yard had been named Yard of the Month in Copperas Cove on numerous occasions. Eldor also enjoyed spending time on his ranch near where he was born raising cattle. He and his wife Luree were blessed with the opportunity to travel to many foreign destinations together.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Luree Schwausch of Copperas Cove; four sons, Stephen Schwausch and his wife Julie of Copperas Cove, Kyle Schwausch and his friend Dawn of Long Beach, CA, Kevin Schwausch and his wife Angela of Burnet and Neal Schwausch and his wife Donna of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Teresa Chavez and her husband Fred of Copperas Cove; nine grandchildren, Tommy, Stephanie, Jodi, Kayla, Jen, Blake, Tori, Brandon and Bryce; two great grandchildren, Molly and Shelby.

The Schwausch family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5 oclock until 7 oclock in the evening on the twenty second day of at Crawford-Bowers in Copperas Cove. services will be held at 11 oclock in the morning on the twenty third day of at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Wilbern Michalk officiating. Interment services will follow in Immanuel Lutheran .

Obituary: Willis Schwarzwalder, 84, of Rowlett, Texas, was born 26, 1931 in Fairbury, Illinois to the late Matthew Schwarzwalder and Ada (Bloem) Schwarzwalder. He passed away peacefully on 16, 2015 in Carthage, Texas after a lengthy illness.

He married Jewell Pennington Gooch in 1967, and they were together for 43 years before her passing in May, 2012.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Garland, where he served as a Deacon and usher, along with many other volunteer activities, including the churchs Shut-In Ministry in which he and Jewell both active. Willis also volunteered as an AARP Tax Aide in Garland and Rowlett for many years, as well as being involved in the Rotary Club. He was retired from Parkland Hospital where he worked as a Computer Systems Analyst. Earlier in his life he served for several years as the General Chairman of the Miss Illinois Pageant for the Miss America Pageant. Willis also earned awards in photography, and enjoyed playing golf and basketball.

Willis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jewell; his parents; and two brothers, Richard Lee Schwarzwalder and Donald Glenn Schwarzwalder.
Those left to cherish his memory include step-son, Clarence Gooch and wife Marie of Longwood, Florida; step-daughter, Laura and husband Deacon Larry Bate, Jr. of Carthage, Texas; grandsons, Captain Jonathan Bate of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Major Stephen Bate and wife Kristin of Flower Mound, Texas, Larry Bate III and wife Laura of McKinney, Texas; great-granddaughter, Lauren Bate of McKinney, Texas; and sister-in-law, Donna Schwarzwalder.

Willis family and many friends will miss his quick wit and many stories - reportedly all true! He was always willing to pick up a hammer or paint brush, and help with any project big or small. Together with Jewell, he enjoyed working on many projects for friends and family, helping to make life better for many people with his discerning eye and talented hands.

Visitation will be held , 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Grove Hill . Services will be held , 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Garland, Reverend Jack Schmid officiating, with Viewing one hour prior to service, 801 W. Ave D, Garland, TX 75040.
