Obituary: Enrique Saldivar, 80, of Austin, Texas formerly of Brownsville and San Benito, Texas peacefully passed away on , 8, 2011. He was born 31, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to Servando and Maria Saldivar. Enrique graduated high school in 1951, then immediately joined the United States Air Force proudly serving until 1953. Upon his return he met the love of his life, Blanca Guerra, and they were married on 7, 1958 in Brownsville, Texas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Enrique worked as a Plant Manager for Levi Strauss in San Benito for over 30 years until his retirement in 1987. his retirement he moved to Austin, Texas and they settled down to enjoy a new chapter in their lives. Enrique enjoyed fishing, golfing and most of all, loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, compadre and most of all a friend, and was a selfless man. Enrique will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known him. Enrique is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Enrique is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Blanca Saldivar; children, Enrique Saldivar, Jr. and his wife Pearl, Adriana Saldivar Stoeltje, David Saldivar, Luis C. Charlie Saldivar and wife Trixy; grandchildren, Enrique Saldivar III, Anissa Saldivar, Luis C. Louie Saldivar Jr., Lauren C. Saldivar and Samantha Stoeltje; sisters, Enriqueta Juarez and Emma Lidia Martinez and numerous other loving family members and friends. Obituary: Celia P. Saldivar, age 84, a resident of Odem, Texas and a former longtime resident of Taft, Texas passed away , 25, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by family. She was born in Mexico on 25, 1926 to Basilio Patiño and Esperanza Rojas Patiño. Celia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to a large family. She was one to put others before herself and loved spending time with her loved ones. She lived for it. She survived many illnesses throughout her life but yet always remained strong for her family. Celia also enjoyed reading the Word of the Lord and loved her cats. Mrs. Saldivar was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Angel Saldivar. She is survived by four sons, George (Juanita) Saldivar, Inez (Edna) Saldivar and Jesus Saldivar, all of Taft, and Jose Angel (Amelia) Saldivar Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; six daughters, Gloria Galvan and Rosalinda (Robert) Sturgeon, both of Taft, Gracie (Joe) Trevino and Celia (Gerardo) Reyes, both of Houston, Texas, Ester (Joey) Diaz of Corpus Christi and Diana (Vern) Isaac of Odem; 40 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on , 28, 2010 at the Colonial Chapel, Taft. service will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 29, 2010 at the Colonial Chapel. Obituary: Aurora Martinez Saldivar beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away , 18, 2017, in Austin, Texas. She had just celebrated 91 years on this earth. Aurora was born 6, 1926, in Poth, Texas, to Lionides and Juanita Galvan Martinez. It wasn't long before she fell in love and married the late great Miguel Saldivar on Christmas Day in 1942. were married for 68 years before his passing in 2011. This union was the foundation that rooted generations to this country. Though Aurora's life was abundant in love and happiness, she was also no stranger to tragedy. She is preceded in death by two sons, Mike Saldivar, and Eric Saldivar and by two grandchildren, Joshua Martinez, and Jonathan Arispe. May they all Rest In Peace united once again. This accomplished woman is survived by her children, Martha Medrano, Esteban Saldivar, Delia Mabry, Elida Balderas, Ernest Saldivar, Diana Saldivar, Sally Saldivar and Yvette Wilkerson plus the generations they too have sown into the family. This includes 50 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, 47 great- great-grandchildren, and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
