Obituary: Angelyn Rosemary Summers was born on 17, 1930 in Blytheville, Arkansas. She passed away on 8, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee a year after suffering a stroke. She was the daughter of J. NovvisTaylor and Lulie Brown Taylor. her mother died when she was three weeks old, Rosemary was brought up by her paternal grandparents, Joe A. Taylor and Nora Ennis Taylor. Rosemary was a sixth-generation member of the Church of Christ and was the granddaughter, daughter, wife, and mother of gospel preachers. Rosemary’s leadership abilities were recognized early; she was selected to attend American Legion Florida Girls State while a student at Winter Haven (Florida) High School. She attended Freed-Hardeman University and Florida before marrying her husband, Grady Waymon Summers. were married fifty-three years before he died in 2005. Rosemary was an accomplished Bible teacher and spoke to women’s church group or on lectureships in Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, and West Virginia. She spoke at the Freed-Hardeman University Bible Lectureship in 1976. She served as a PTA President in Oneida, TN, and worked for several years as a teacher’s aide at Boyd-Buchanan School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Among her greatest achievements was the influence she had on hundreds of women as a girls’ counselor for twenty-five years at Teenage Christian Camp in Karns, Tennessee. She also influenced many in her role as preacher’s wife at the churches where her husband preached in Willette, Tennessee; Colora, Maryland; Oneida, Tennessee (twice); Weirton, West Virginia (two congregations), and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Waymon and Rosemary had four sons: Randy Joe, Michael Waymon, Mark David, and Monte Nathan. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, her infant son, Randy Joe, and a grandson, Caleb Summers. She is survived by three sons, Michael and Morrisa Summers of Lansing, KS; Mark and Kelli Summers of Brentwood, TN; and Monte and Anna Summers of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren, Shara Summers Fish, Isaiah, Taylorann, Hunter, Chase, Samantha, Alexander, and Kendall Summers and a great-grandson, Titus Fish. She also is survived by her life-long friend and maid of honor, Phyllis Wright Williams; beloved sister-in-law, Reba Walker, nephews, nieces, and a host of other friends whom she loved deeply. Visitation will be held from four o’ clock in the evening until eight on , 11, 2016 at Crieve Hall Church of Christ, 4806 Trousdale Dr, Nashville, TN. Services will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on , 12, 2016 at Crieve Hall Church of Christ with visitation one hour prior. Bro. Charles Williams, officiating. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Summers, Chase Summers, Alexander Summers, Andrew Fish, Scott Walker and David Tongate. Interment will be held at three-thirty in the afternoon on , 12, 2016 at Mt.
