Obituary: Helen Marie Stone, 94, passed away during the early morning hours of ( 12, 2017) with her daughter by her side. Helen was born on 2, 1922 to the late John &Grace (White) Duncan in Fall Branch, TN. Helen was one of ten children. She married her High School sweetheart, William Henry Stone, Jr. in 1941 and they started their life of 75 years together in Kingsport. Helen always had a smile on her face and never knew a stranger. She loved her church, First Baptist Church, traveling, sports (especially table tennis in her senior years), and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Hill and Irene Todd; and six brothers, Scott, Clifford, Kenneth, Howard, Kermit, and Haskell Duncan. Left to cherish her memories is her loving husband of 75 years, William Henry Stone, Jr.; daughter, Tina Pearson & husband Randy; sister, Clara Ward; granddaughter, Kara Price & husband Mark; grandson, Ryan Pearson & wife Sarah; two great-granddaughters, Kallie and Kate Price; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A celebration of Helens life will be held ( 18, 2017) at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church (200 W Church Circle Kingsport, TN 37660) with Pastor Marvin Cameron officiating. Committal services will be held on ( 18, 2017) at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park (800 Truxton Drive Kingsport, TN 37660). In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to First Baptist Church (200 W Church Circle Kingsport, TN 37660). The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Holston Manor for their kind and compassionate care given to Helen. Obituary: Gayle Marie (Cota) Stone passed away after a swift but brave battle with cancer on , 7, 2014 in Cordova, TN with family by her side. Gayle was born in Crookston, MN on 29, 1926, the youngest of three children, to Richard Harry Cota and Ellen Marie (Crothers) Cota. She attended high school in Bemidji, MN, and later learned the dental assistant profession. working in Minneapolis for several years, Gayle met Vernon Eric Stone at the Gamble-Skogmo department store in St. Cloud, MN, where they were both employed. married on 24, 1949, and moved to Minneapolis, MN, where they began raising three children, and where they became members of Oliver Presbyterian Church. Gayle continued dental work while the family lived in Richfield, MN, as well as in Shoreview, MN and Grand Rapids, MN. Vernon was transferred to Rogers, AR, in 1971 where Gayle continued in dentistry, worked later in banking, and where they were long-time members of First Baptist Church. She retired when Vern retired from WalMart in 1988. belonged to church choirs for many decades, and toured with one well into their eighties. Gayle and Vern spent their retirement years traveling, going on mission trips to Central America, Israel and Romania, and wintering in the Mexican village of Bucerias, Nayarit. Gayle and Vern moved to Cordova, TN in 2005 where they were active members of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, and were supporters of individual missions. A memorial service will take place at Bellevue Baptist Church, Cordova, TN on , 10 at 1:00 p.m.; she will be laid to rest alongside her husband following a service at First Baptist Church in Rogers, AR. on , 13 at 11:00 a.m. (visitation at 10:00 a.m.). Gayle is survived by her children Timothy Michael (Rosemary) Stone, Easley, SC; Mark Wade (Amy) Stone, Lakewood, OH; and Jeanne Marie (Phillip) Newberry, Cordova, TN; Verns daughter, Pherne (David) Osborne, Burlington, NC; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Vernon; her parents; and by her siblings Richard Cota and Patricia Cota. Gayle was loved by all for her cheerful, sensitive and loving nature; her family considers her life to be the ultimate testimony to belief in Christ.
