Obituary: Herbert D. Siler Herbert D. Siler, age 97 of Jackson, TN, passed away 19, 2010. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. , 22, 2010 at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, with Brother Paul Williams officiating and Scott David, Gene Case, Jim Hearn, Jeff Case, Taylor Case and Joe Case serving as Pallbearers. Lional Collins and Bill Morrow will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest , where Military Honors will be observed. Mr. Siler served in the United States Air Force during World War II, where he took an honorable discharge after earning the rank of Staff Sargent in Agra, India. Mr. Siler worked for Consolidated Aluminum for over 30 years, and served his Lord as a Baptist School Teacher and became a member of Englewood Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sally Siler; son, Harold David Duke Siler; brother, Edwin Siler and sister, Alice Siler. He is survived by his loving wife, Elma Mae Siler; sister, Katherine Dean, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. , 21, 2010 at the North Chapel. |
