Obituary: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21: 4 Minister Brindle Dianne Segars was born 10, 1953 in Darlington to the late Jessie Levern and Florence Marcus Segars. On , 30, 2017, Minister Segars transitioned to her eternal home. Brindle was educated in the public schools of Darlington , and was a 1971 graduate of Spaulding High School. She attended Seton Hill University and later graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1975. She was currently enrolled in the conference course of study for the United Methodist Church at Duke University. In 2015, Brindle retired from the Darlington Public School System after 30years of service. She was currently employed with the Kohl’s Department Store in Florence, South Carolina. At an early age, Minister Segars joined John Wesley United Methodist where she remained a faithful member until death. Upon accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she was baptized with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit equipped her with knowledge, visions and dreams to share with His people. Her notable faithfulness placed her in the vineyard to work until God called her home. Aforementioned, Minister Segars’ desire was to please God by being a servant that represented the great gift of love. She was an active member of the PPRC, Vice President of the United Methodist Women, and Laity support for worship services, which included delivering the spoken word of God on every second and fourth at John Wesley United Methodist Church. Those surviving to cherish her memories include: her brothers: Birkett Segars, James Miles, Stenson (Emma) Lawyer, Troy (Cheryl) Pauley, and Vincent Dunlap; sisters: Kimberlyn (Frankie) Jackson, Bridgette (Timothy) German and Saundra (Gerald) Price; one uncle, Nathaniel Rogers; two aunts, Fannie Rogers and Edell Byrd; two very special nieces, Maya Chenise Jackson and Jazmyne Aliyah Jackson; special cousins: Alfred (Mary) Marcus, Anthony (Michelle) Marcus, Kevin Marcus, Shirley (Lloyd) Buckner, Lorainne (Phillip) Snowden, Genevieve (Ronald) Bailey, Virginia Pringle, Willistine Rivers, Earl Hawkins, Calvin Dargan and James Edward (Elaine) Hawkins; special godmother, Joyce Perkins; and a host of other loved ones and friends. |

Obituary: Lenora J. Segars - Piedmont, SC Lenora Jane Childress Segars, 46, of 146 FF Family Circle, went to be with the Lord 18, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. Mrs. Segars was born in Rantoul, Iliinois, a daughter of Hugh Leonard Childress, Sr. and Carolyn Stokes Childress, of Piedmont. Mrs. Segars was a teacher at Foothills Christian Academy and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley. Surviving in addition to her parents, are her former husband, Donald K. Segars, of Taylors ; sons, Brandon Segars and Cameron Segars, both of Piedmont ; brothers, Hugh L. Childress, Jr, of Easley, David C. Childress, of Liberty and James Edward Childress, of Williamston ; and a sister, Tereasa Anderson, of Piedmont ; and numerous neices and nephews. services will be 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Robinson - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland , West. The family is at the home of her parents, 2241 Firetower Road, Piedmont, and will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
