Obituary: Evangeline G. Cookie Swint, 89, of Easton, passed away , 17, 2015 in Easton Hospital. Born 6, 1926, in Washington, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Evangeline Titus Groves. Her husband of 65 years, Herman M. Swint, died May 1, 2013. Years ago she worked for the former Tung Sol. She had been an independent Avon consultant for 40 years. She graduated from Washington High School Class of 1944. Cookie enjoyed crossword puzzles, ceramics, traveling, reading, Swedish fish, and Broadway shows. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Cookie was a member of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, where she was a Mother of the Church and a member of the Willing Workers. She was also a member of the Womens Club of the YWCA. Surviving are five sons, H. Michael and his wife Christine and David J. and his wife Donna, all of Easton; Robert and his wife Debora, of Cherry Hill, NJ, Clifford and his wife Salome, of Neshanic Station, NJ and Philip and his wife Jessica, of Bethlehem; a daughter, Alice Marie Patterson, of Mt. Vernon, NY; two brothers, Alex Groves, of Washington, NJ and David Groves, of Allentown; two sisters, Alice Thompson, of Washington, NJ and Evelyn Jones, of Easton; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a son, William and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Joyce Dorsey. Services will be held at 11am in Shiloh Chapel, 201 Brother Thomas Bright Avenue, Easton. Call 10-11am in the chapel. Burial will be in Hays . are by the Strunk , Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
