Obituary: Proctor, OK- Graveside services for Brenda Lee Stopp- Feathers will be conducted on , 26th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Long Springs with Reverend Merle Gregory and Pastor Daniel Dallis officiating. There will be a Wake Service at the family home on , 25th, 2014 beginning at 7:00 PM. The family home is open to her friends and family. Interment will be held at Long springs . Brenda Lee Stopp-Feathers was born on , 3rd, 1965 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Mankiller Stopp and Linda Vann. She attended school in the Briggs Grade School and later attended Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, OK. She met and married the love of her life, Randy Feathers in Fayetteville, AR on 12th, 2002. Together they raised a family in the Proctor Community. Brenda was a hard working woman, she worked as a dispatcher for the Adair Police Department , a First Responder for the Welling Fire Department, and also as a nurse aide at various facilities. Her favorite job was as loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother caring for the family she adored. She loved being out doors and enjoyed every chance to go fishing, camping, compete in a horseshoe tournament and being out in the yard. Every year she looked forward to deer camping with her niece and nephew, Julie and Jeffrey Kizzia.She liked going to yard sales looking for a bargain. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved doing special dinners for them like her famous fried chicken and frybread, potatoes and brown beans. She had a wonderful sense of humor and spirited personality. She loved anytime spent with her children and more recently, watching her grandchildren grow. A Christian by faith, Brenda was a member of the Long Springs Baptist Church. Brendas health began to fail her and she went home to her Lord and Savior on 20th, 2014 in Tulsa, OK with her family by her side. She was 49 years old. She will be greatly missed for her smile and the love she showed those around her. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Glinda Vann Stopp, and by her two brothers, William Vann and Dannie Joe Hodges. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Randy of the home in Proctor, and her three adored children, Kyle Drywater and wife Kosie of Flint Ridge Community, OK, Jimmy Lee Drywater and companion Alissa Gourd of Tahlequah, OK, and Nakyiah Sanders and fiancé Steven Bush of Vinita, OK. Her legacy lives on in her four beloved grandchildren, Jacob Drywater of Flint Ridge Community, OK, Rayden Drywater of Tahlequah, OK, Jarrik Rattlinggourd and Jarryn Rattlinggourd, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. We will always love and miss you, and cherish your memory until we meet again. |

He married Carol Ann Hawkins on 2, 1979 and from this union he became the proud father of two daughters, Mandy and Sarah. were the happiness in his daily life. He decided on a career in the nursery industry, his last employment being with J and B Nursery. When he wasn working, James loved to spend the day golfing, playing horseshoes, and fishing with his family. He enjoyed listening to music, such as Sarah Evans, Beyonce , Alicia Keys, and Carrie Underwood. He was always happy and smiling, and loved people. He possessed an extraordinary sense of humor, and always ready to make you laugh. He liked any chance to watch OSU sports, and he was the biggest supporter of his grandchildren anytime they played sports. He never missed the chance to go see them play, it didn matter when or where. He enjoyed time at the casino with his family and friends. Any time with his family was wonderful to James. James began to have failing health, however he never let it affect the smile he had for his family. He loved all of them so very much. James was called from this life on , 4th, 2016 in Tahlequah, OK with his family by his side. He was 57 years old. He will be greatly missed. James has gone home to see his mother Abbie Virgina (Doyebi) Stopp and father Jimmie Lee Stopp. Two brothers, Terry Lynn Stopp and Jeffrey Warren Stopp, and one sister-in-law, Renda Gail Stopp. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Mandy Kay (Stopp) Hawzipta and companion Preston C.
