Obituary: SZABAD, Ernest (Ernie) Frank, of Springboro, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on , 1, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton, Loralei Place after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on 16, 1926 to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Sabad. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Miami University where he studied architecture. He served his country as a member of the US Army stationed in Okinawa, Japan during World War II. Following the war, he was employed by the Precision Rubber Products and later Gardena Rubber as a sales representative. He founded Premium Promotions, an advertising specialty company in 1995. He was an active member of Dayton Ambucs serving on the educational committee and he was an avid golfer and long-time member of Community Golf Course. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Elizabeth Sabad, his brothers Andrew and Alex and their spouses, his grandson Martin Szabad, daughter-in-law Susan, and in-laws Arby and Florence DeCamp. He is survived by Jean Szabad his wife of 64 years, his son Mark Szabad and wife, Janie, daughter, Debra Norman and her husband Paul, and daughter, Cynthia Muessig, Grandchildren Matthew Szabad and wife Susan, Melissa Skilken and husband Adam, Chris George and wife Abby, David George and wife Kristin, Katie Myers and husband Jonathan, Lindsey Fleege and husband Scott, Jessi Watson and husband David, and Timothy Muessig, brother-in-law Dick DeCamp and wife Carole, son-in-law Tom George and Lori Filson, and son-in-law Scott Muessig. Great grandchildren, Jed and Ellie Skilken, Kelsey and Kendal George, Jenna and Berkley George, JT and Eli Myers, Carter, Olivia, and Madelyn Fleege, Camden Watson. Nephews Mike, Garry, and Dan Sabad, Steve and Shelly DeCamp. The family would like to extend appreciation to Dr. Manish Sheth, Dr. Malak Adib, Tara Colston, Becky Hansen, Bobbi Sims, Michelle Becker, Anna Cleary, and the staff of Hospice of Dayton Loralei Place for taking care of Ernie during his long bout with multiple myeloma.
