Obituary: Marian E. Strohl (88) of Fremont, died , 16, 2013 at Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs. She was born 10, 1924 in Fremont to the late Rudolf and Ethel (Murry) Stegman. Marian was a housekeeper for many private homes in Fremont, including the Tschumy, Brown and Dundore families. She was a big fan of daytime soap operas and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles as well as crocheting, sewing and fishing. Mrs. Strohl is survived by her stepson: Harris (Ruth) Strohl Jr. of Mason, MI, niece: Gloria (Ronald) Quaintance of Clyde, Sisters: Dorothy (Lyle) Kohlenberg and Linda Stegman of Fremont and Peggy (Rollyn) Dinan of Clyde. Brother: James Stegman of Vista, Ca and numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Harris Strohl who preceded her in death in 1992, sister: Betty Tallman and brothers: Dale, Bill, Rudy, and Jerry Stegman. Services will begin at 2:00 PM, , 19, 2013 at the Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason with visitation being from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on with services being conducted by Susann Robitski Zimmerman, Certified Celebrant. Burial will follow at Dana . Memorial contributions may be made to the Elmwood at the Springs or Fremont Memorial Hospice through the funeral home. Obituary: Ilva A. (Plummer) Strohl, 99, of Angola, Indiana, formerly of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on 29, 2014. Ilva was born on 13, 1915 in Napoleon to Raymond and Ora May Plummer. She was united in marriage on 1, 1936 to William A. Strohl in Angola, Indiana. Ilva was the loving mother of William (Marcia) Strohl Jr., and Sandra (Tom) Doty; beloved grandmother to 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, William A. Strohl; and sister, Francis Allen. Ilva was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Napoleon. She was also a member of Eastern Star in Napoleon, and was a member of the Napoleon Elks. She was very involved in her childrens lives. Visitation will be held on , 2, 2014 at Walker Mortuary, 333 West Main Street, Napoleon, Ohio 43545, from Noon until 3pm. Services will follow at 3pm , Pastor Chad Roper officiating. Interment will take place at 1pm on , 3rd at Forest Hill in Napoleon. The family requests donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Napoleon. |
