Steinke, 96, of Wapakoneta, went peacefully surrounded by her family on , 14, 2010 at 5:45 p.m. at the Hospice of Cincinnati.  She was born on 15, 1914, in Wapakoneta, to Matthew & Margaret (Brun) Eisert, who both have preceded her in death. On 18, 1935, she married Gilbert Steinke, who passed away 19, 1997. She is survived by two sons, Carvel R. (Virginia) Steinke, of Maineville, OH, and Alan Steinke, of Wapakoneta; five grandchildren, Dennis (Judy) Steinke, of Maineville, Diane Volk, of Cincinnati, Debra (Fred) Kinkel, of Cincinnati, Karen (Denny) Behr, of Troy, and Kevin Byrne, of St. Marys; and four great-grandchildren, Phillip Volk, Annette Volk, Kelly Rhodes, and Jonathan Rhodes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Byrne-Haas; two daughter-in-laws, Margaret Steinke and Marlene Steinke; five brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Steinke was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. , 18, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Sloneker will be officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph . Obituary:             Ivan N. Steinke, 70, of Wapakoneta passed away at 3:02 a.m. 18, 2016 at his home. He was born on 1, 1945 in Shelby Co. to Arthur & Rosa (Wendel) Steinke who preceded him in death. On 25, 1974 he married Deb Uppenkamp and she survives in Wapakoneta. Survivors also include a brother; Frank (Deb) Steinke, 3 sisters Phyllis Ward, Elsie (Dale) McGlothen, Stime (Tim) Davis, a sister-in-law, Dawn Steinke, a brother-in-law Paul Uppenkamp and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Dan Steinke who passed away on 12, 2016 and a brother-in-law Hasroe Ward. In 1984 Ivan bought S&S Hay , dealing in hay and straw. Dedicated with passion and hard work, Ivan and Deb were successful with their company. Ivan loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, riding horse, motorcycles, shooting trap and anything that involved outdoor activity. He loved to laugh and have a good time, there was never a dull moment when Ivan was around. He had a great love for animals. He was a big man with a great big soft heart. We love you Ivan and you will be truly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. 22, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, Botkins, with Father Patrick Sloneker officiating.
