Obituary: Arlington Art Smith Age 88 Resident of Perry, Ohio passed away , 19, 2008 at home in Perry, Ohio. Born 6, 1920 in Hiram, Ohio, to Amine (Tyler) & Theodore Smith. Married Darle Stillman on 26, 1946 He was a charter member of the Perry Kiwanis. Served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Third Armored Division-Spearhead during World War II serving at the Battle of the Bulge. Worked at Rayon and later retired from Coe Manufacturing. Loved spending time gardening and tending his fruit trees. He also enjoyed making macrame lawn chairs. He is survived by 2 Daughters, Ellen Chapman of Perry, and Phyllis (Tony) Allegretto of Ashtabula 4 Grandchildren, Jaime (Lee) Lutes of Perry, Jim (Shelley) Kertcher of Perry,Lisa (Terrance) Burney of Brazil and Amy (Dan) Jones of Buckhanon, WV; 10 Great Grandchildren, Michael and Kendra Lutes Clint, Kayleigh, James, and Luke Kertcher Brendon and Zachary Burney Abigail and Alayna Jones He was preceded in death by his wife, Darle (Stillman) Smith in 2006; his parents and brothers and sisters, Paul, Ethel, Daisy, Bud, Nettie, Harold, Dolly, Nelson, Floyd Donald & Raymond. Friends will be received 10-11:00 a.m., , 21, 2008 at Perry United Methodist Church, 3875 Main St., Perry, Ohio. Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Obituary: Annoffie (Auxier) Smith 01/09/1938 to 05/23/13 Recently, God felt there was a lack of Beauty in Heaven. God called an Angel and asked this Angel with finding the most Beautiful Soul he could find in order to brighten Heaven. As the Angel was sitting on Heaven's fence, contemplating how she was to fulfill God's trust in her, the Angel heard a beautiful laugh. And, upon following the melody of the laughter, she saw a vision of a Woman laughing and hugging a grandchild, even though the Woman was in great pain, the Woman laughed, smiled and loved. And, the Angel was enamored with the woman. The woman's soul was bright and so beautiful. She was a Mother, a Mamaw and a Friend to many. The woman had been a Sister and a Daughter and a Wife. And, the Woman had been all these things with love and devotion in her heart. The Angel watched the Woman for a long time to ensure that there was no mistake that this was the Beauty that Heaven needed; the Beauty that God had tasked the Angel with finding. And, when the Angel was sure, and knew the Woman could no longer suffer her pain, the Angel flew down to Earth and gathered the Woman in her arms and surrounded the Woman with light and calmed her pain. The Woman raised her face with its beautiful blue eyes and smiled at the Angel. And, even though the Woman knew she would be missed on Earth, the Woman also knew that her Loved Ones on Earth would not begrudge her need to be free of the pain; That they would keep their Memories of her in their Hearts and in these Memories, she would live on with them. AND, so, on May 23rd, with a Great melody of Harps and Trumpets, the Angel carried the Woman, known to her Love Ones as Annoffie, Heavenward to ensure Heaven's Beauty and to re-join with her Heavenly Family, those Loved Ones that had gone to Heaven before her. AND, God was pleased with the Beauty that the Woman's Soul bestowed upon Heaven. And, Annoffie's Earthly Family, even though they knew Annoffie had gone to Heaven, was glad she no longer suffered the pain, felt a great loss and wept aloud for the loss of her touch, hugs, smiles and laughter. So, Annoffie, sent her Love down to them on a whisper and told them, Please do not be sad, for I am still with you and every year, when the Wisteria blooms, remember me for I will be with you then, and always. Annoffie is sadly missed by her children and their families: Angella, grandson-Brenden; Elizabeth, grandson-Brandon (& Mandy), granddaughter-Katelynd; Edwina, (Ezra), granddaughter-Lynsiann, 2 great-granddaughters-Cheyann & Rhylee; granddaughter-Kasandra; Robert (& Mandy), grandsons-Michael and Nicholas, granddaughter-Ashley; and Betty, grandson-Austen. Waiting to welcome Annoffie into Heaven from the Healing Arms of the Angel was Husband, Edward and daughter, Sandy; Annoffie's Parents, Mary Elizabeth (Holbrook) and Alfred Auxier; many sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles and related relatives and her son-in-law, David Stover (Edwina) and her great grandson, Anthony Allen (Lynsiann). And, Heaven Glowed with the renewal of their time together once again and Reverberated with their Laughter. There will be a public viewing for celebrating Annoffie's life with family and friends on , May 29, from 6pm to 8pm, at Kauber-Sammons located at 289 S. Main St. Pataskala, Ohio 43062, (740) 927-3971. The funeral service will take place on , May 30, starting at 1pm. Interment at Pataskala immediately following the service. Family is asking for donations in lieu of flowers to assist with the funeral costs.
