Obituary: Rose Sistek, Age 101, of Madison, Ohio, passed away , 12, 2013 at her sons home. She was born 4, 1911 in Coraopolis, PA to Mary (Brusta) and James Placek. Rose married James Sistek in Cleveland on 9, 1931. She is survived by her children, James R. (Connie) Sistek, William C. (Lynn) Sistek and Betty Oakman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1997; parents, brothers Frank and James Placek and sister, Elsie Widziewicz. Heartfelt appreciation for the excellent care given by hospice—we could not have done it alone—special thanks to Michele (& Linda), Lisa R., Sindy, and Susan (who brought the joy of music). Also the family would like to thank Dr. Robert MacDougall. Friends will be received 10-11 a.m., , 15, 2013 at The Behm Family , 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tina Green of Fairport Congregational Church will be officiating. Obituary: Raymond Harrison Sisson, 97, of Addyston, died on 26, 2015. He started his career as Principal of Hooven School, then worked for National Lead of Ohio at Fernald, as an administrator in the Great Oaks School System, and was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Ray was always willing to give his time to the community; he served on the Three Rivers School district board and the Addyston council for many years. Many also remember Ray as a Scout leader, baseball coach, free Algebra tutor, for passing out jokes, or for tooting his horn hello as he drove through town in his familiar Taurus. He was the son of Sivert & Maude Young Sisson, brother of Max, Dorothy, Jack & Dave Sisson, Gene Reed, Nancy Compton, Virginia Burge & Caroline Martens; the husband of Margaret J. Geeding Sisson, father of Timothy, Rebecca and Christopher Sisson, Sally Anderson & Julianna Forman, grandfather of 9, and great-grandfather of 7. Friends may join the family Sat., Jan. 30, 2 PM at the Dennis George , 44 S. Miami, Cleves, OH for a memorial service and reception. He was born on May 16, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Chardon High School, Class of 1963. Jerry served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1967 after serving in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life Rose M. Austin on 14, 1970 in Painesville. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, riding ATVs and hunting. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family. Mr. Sission is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rose M. Sisson; sons, Jeffry (Tina) and Matthew (Dee); grandchildren, Brittany (Joe) and Jeffry and Scarlett; great-grandson, Skyler; brother, Floyd (Gladys) Bowditch; and several nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Floyd Bowditch; sister, Robin Bowditch in infancy; and grandparents, Charles M. and Leta B. Sisson.
