Obituary: Martha L. Siegrist passed away on the afternoon of 12, 2012, at Coshocton Memorial Hospital. Martha was born in Coshocton on 1, 1930. She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1948. While at Coshocton High School she was a member of the coming Queens Court and until her death continued to enjoy friendship with members of the KAT club. She attended the Barbizon School of Modeling in Pittsburgh, PA. and in Columbus, Ohio, after attending high school. She worked briefly as a model until shortly after her marriage to James W. Finney of Coshocton on 11, 1950. James Finney and Martha were married until 1973. Martha worked at Hopewell School in several positions, teachers aide, secretary and cook, from 1963 until 1982. She also worked at a Coshocton answering service, the Tollhouse Clothing Store in Roscoe and Park in Coshocton. She was married to Carl R. Siegrist on 31, 1979 until his death on 21, 2007. Martha enjoyed living in Cape Coral, Florida in the 1980s. She also enjoyed traveling the country in a RV from 1990 to 1995. Martha and Carl returned to Coshocton in 1995. She has enjoyed her independence, friends, watching OSU football and playing bridge at Windsorwood Assisting Living during the last six years. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton. Those who knew and loved her will remember her witty sense of humor and talented ability to add gaiety and style to all occasions and gatherings. She was a very giving and patient wife and mother. She will be very much missed by her family and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her parents Grace (Adams) and Herbert Nelson; her husband, Carl; her former husband, James; and her beloved sister, Mary Jane Siegrist. She is survived by her children, Angela Finney of Newark, Michael and Chris (Carton) Finney of Cincinnati, and James and Pam (Spencer) Finney of Mt. Vernon; step son, Carl Siegrist of Madison, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Victor and Sean Finney, and Zach Siegrist; brother-in-law, George Siegrist; cousin, Laverne Siegrist; and sisters-in-law, Leslie Finney and Jean Finney in Columbus, Ohio, and many beloved nephews and nieces. Calling hours will be held on , 16, 2012, from 5-7:00 pm at Given-Dawson , Coshocton, and from 10-11:00 am on . services will be held on , 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Jonathan Carlisle officiating. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Marthas name to the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton, 142 N. 4th Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
