Obituary: Tracy Willard Sykes, 50, of New Hill, died , 2, 2016 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Tracy was born on 1, 1965 to Bobby Sykes and Joann Thompson Sykes in Green Level. Tracy worked as a tow truck driver for a number of years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tracy will be missed greatly by all those that loved him including his racing family. Tracy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Lori Smith Sykes. He is survived by a son, Justin (Amanda) of Angier; brothers, Van (Mari) and Neal (Stephanie); a sister Kim Draper; granddaughters, Roxy and Lorilei Sykes; and close friend, Chris Langston. A funeral service will be held , 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Apex 550 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502 with burial to follow at Wake Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on 6, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the home his sister, Kim Draper. Memorial contributions may be made to the The National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016. |
