Obituary: Mrs. Maie Ray Suits, 92, a resident of Greensboro died on May 5, 2015 at Ashton Place in McLeansville. She was born May 9, 1922 in the Silk Hope community of Chatham the daughter of William Oscar and Cornie Brown Ray. Maie worked for many years in the laundry services in Greensboro with Columbia, Fordhams and the Baby Diaper Service. She was an active member of Church Street Baptist Church until her health began to decline. Maie was married to y Elmore Suits who preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Charles William Caudle; two sisters, Mozelle R. Self, Mildred R. Fields and her brothers, Reid, Barney and Jay Van Ray. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Linda S. Caudle (David, deceased) of Greensboro, Mrs. Nancy S. Smith (Keivin) of Greensboro; one son, Wayne Suits (Raynell) of Pleasant Garden; one sister, Margie R. Smith of McLeansville; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Reverend Tyler Gaulden and Reverend Douglas Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Obituary: Ransom Morgan Suit, III, 69, of Monroe, passed away on 12, 2016 at Carolinas Medical . A native of Sullivan , TN, he was the son of the late Ransom and Ruby Jones Suit. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps, and was preceded in death by many more fallen heroes. He graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN, attended East Tennessee State University and retired from Carolinas Medical as a Networking Engineer. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Lysa Seymour and fiancé Jason of Monroe, NC; by his son, Anthony Bresina of Matthews; by his grandchildren, Ryan Seymour and Lauren Plyler; by his twin sister, Charlotte Russell of Huntersville; by a niece Shaara Vaughn (Mike) and nephew Brad Russell (Kristi); and by several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Military Service will be held in the Chapel of McEwen Service at Sharon Memorial Park on , 17, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Military Honors will follow the service in the Chapel. Inurnment will occur at a later date in Kingsport, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, prior to the service. An opportunity for people to speak in an open mic format will be given. The Patriot Guard, Rolling Thunder, Indian Trail VFW, and members of the US Marine Corps will be providing honors. The family requests that memorials be made to the Carolinas Foundation; Attn: Kathleen Stevens-Cycle to the Sea; 200 East Boulevard; Charlotte, NC 28203. Checks should be made payable to the ASAP Fund. Please make sure that Cycle to the Sea and Morgan Suit is included on the memo line.
