Obituary: Hubbie Christine Buchanan Stutzman, age 80, of Black Mountain, and formally of Old Fort, NC, went home to be with the Lord on , 1, 2015 while in the care of Mountain Ridge and Rehab. Christine was born the daughter of the late Nathan Buchanan and Lona Mae Hughes Buchanan on 14, 1934 in Hayesville, NC. Christine was a longtime member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and was truly a Lady of Faith. She was retired from Elyria Memorial Hospital in Elyria, Ohio where she worked in the dietary department. Christine was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Stutzman; three brothers, Allen, Ernie and Nathan Buchanan; and four sisters, Lucille Grindstaff, Hattie Pitman, Bessie Mae Oliver and Morene Folds. Those left behind to cherish Christines memory includes a daughter, Barbara Jean Brown and her husband, Bruce of Marion; two special ladies that she considered daughters, Clara Turner and her husband, Steve of Black Mountain and Pam Brown and her husband, Steve of Marion. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, services will be held at 11:00 AM on , 6, 2015 in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey with the Reverend Mark Annas officiating. Interment will follow in the Ed Buchanan in Newland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Ridge and Rehab for the loving care provided to Christine.
