Obituary: 1930 – 2015 Canton – Eulene Davis Stiles, age 85, passed away on , May 31, 2015 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Haywood , she was the daughter of the late Marion Edgar and Emma Greene Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Ted Johnson Stiles, who passed in 1978; and a sister, Louvinia Bryson. Eulene was employed with Haywood Public Schools for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of Canton First Baptist Church. Eulene enjoyed creating floral designs and creative decorations. She was sought after for weddings and other special events. At different times in her life she enjoyed camping and traveling. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Alan Davis Stiles and his wife, Brenda, of Chapel Hill, and David Lee Stiles and his wife, Dawn, of Canton; she delighted in being with her three grandchildren, Justin and Adam Stiles, and Aubrey Stiles. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on , 3, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells with the Reverend James A. Meadows officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church of Canton, 74 Academy Street, Canton, NC 28716. |

Obituary: Donna Stiles 1959-2016 Gastonia – Donna Ann Stiles, 56, passed away on 5, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gaston on 19, 1959 to Virginia Barnes Stiles and the late Ralph Wayne Stiles. Donna was a wonderful and loving person who will be missed greatly! She was a lifelong member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She was WMU Director, School Director and member of the Teller Committee. Her pride and joy was to work on the Operation Christmas Child where she helped prepare over 300 boxes. Donna enjoyed going on many mission trips throughout her life. She was the Secretary and Dispatcher for the Gastonia Fire Department for many years and later worked as a supervisor at Solid Waste of Gastonia. Donna was a volunteer for Hospice serving, Gaston, Cleveland and Lincoln Counties. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Barnes Stiles; brother, Reverend Randy Stiles and wife Wendy Fox Stiles; niece, Amber Brooke Stiles and Grand Niece, Kinley Paige Stiles Visitation for family and friends will be , 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sandy Plains Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm, , 8th at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Reverend Brian Mitchell officiating Memorials may be made to Sandy Plains Baptist Church, 5323 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28056 and/or Gaston Hospice, Post Office Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
