Obituary: Pearl Barrett Stevens, 91 Mineral Ridge: services will be 1:00 p.m. at Lane Family , Mineral Ridge Chapel for Pearl Barrett Stevens, 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at home in North Carolina on 14, 2015. She was born in Niles, Ohio on 8, 1923 to the late John C. and Louise Dunkleman Raynes.. She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1941 and attended Youngstown . Pearl worked as a cost accountant for Mahoning Valley Steel and Jones and Laughlin Steel until her retirement in 1978. On 1, 1945, Pearl married Paul C. Barrett who passed away in 1978. had one daughter, Judith. Pearl lived her entire early life in Niles and moved to Mineral Ridge in 1954. She married Robert Stevens in 1985 who preceded her in death in 1998. Pearl relocated to Herndon, Virginia in 2004 to be with family. In 2014, she relocated to West End, NC with her daughter and granddaughter. Pearl is survived by her daughter, Judith Barrett Johnston of West End NC; 2 grandchildren, Rebecca Johnston Tucker (Stephen Tucker) of West End, NC; and David Jeffrey Johnston (Sarah Streett Johnston) of Glenshaw, PA; and one great-grandson, David Andrew Johnston of Glenshaw, PA. In addition, she is also survived by her sister, Mary Ainsley of Cortland, Ohio, and a brother, Jack Raynes of Anaheim, CA. Pearl was an active member of her beloved Mineral Ridge Church of Christ where she served as Treasurer of Women Working for Christ. She was a 70 year member of the Eastern Star. Pearl served for over 30 years with Trumbull Mobile Meals. She was a member of Herndon United Methodist Church while in Virginia. She loved camping, fishing and being outdoors. She also loved Max, the family schnauzer who was her dearest companion. As an avid hobbyist, Pearl enjoyed quilting, ceramics, tole painting, making porcelain dolls, flower arranging, and was famous for her Christmas chocolates. Friends may call on from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. |

Obituary: Paul McClenon Stevens, 80, of Wilmington, passed away after a lengthy illness on 7, 2016 at his residence with his wife, Beth Stevens by his side. Paul loved the Lord and during his illness his Faith in his Lord never wavered. Paul was born on 6, 1935 in Conway, SC to James McClenon Stevens and Bertha Cannon Stevens Martz. Paul worked for Babcock and Wilcox at Wilmington, NC and Paris, TX for 33+ years. He worked many years as a Shop Superintendent in Wilmington and retired as Tooling Manager/Engineer of the Paris Plant. He was a member of Ogden Baptist Church since 1960 and currently a member of Winter Park Baptist Church. Paul was very active in his community. He was awarded Jaycee of the Year twice and served as a member and past president of the Local Ogden Jaycee chapter. He was a member, past president and Optimist of the Year of the local Supper Optimist Club. He served as a member and past president of the local Chapter of the International Management Club. Paul was founder and past chairman of Boy Scout Troop 237 in Ogden. He was also past Chairman and very active in the Ogden Little League Baseball program for several years. In addition to his wife, Beth, he is survived by his son Paul McClenon Stevens Jr. and wife Connie of Charlotte, NC; 3 Grandchildren, Paul McClenon Stevens III (Clent) and wife Jessica of New London, Ann Stevens and fiancée, Travis of Raleigh and Mark Alexander Stevens of Charlotte. Paul also has 5 great grandchildren, Arlee, Noah, Emerson, Harper and Judson. Besides the Lord, Pauls family brought him great joy. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on , 10 followed by the service at 2 pm at Coble Ward-Smith . Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC, 28403. |

Obituary: Mr. Stevens, age 61, of Charlotte, died , 29, 2014 at his home. Born 10, 1953 in Horry , SC, he was a son of the late Harvey and Maggie Hunt Stevens. Michael enjoyed an amazing career in music. He was a founding member of the Kerry Michaels Band. He played at numerous venues in Myrtle Beach and Charlotte. Michael toured with The Kid Colt Band in Japan and performed for the Armed Services stationed in the Mediterranean with the Armed Forces Professional Entertainment Overseas (AFPEO). He culminated his career by playing with the River Side Drive. The family will receive friends 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM , 2nd, at McEwen Service - Derita Chapel. A gathering will be held later at Myrtle Beach. Definite arrangements will be posted on Michaels Facebook.
