Obituary: Waynesville- George Edward Stansbury, age 87, went home to be with his Lord on 12, 2017 in Waynesville, NC at Silver Bluff Village. He was born on 22, 1930 in Washington DC to Evelyn Rittue and Norman Stansbury. George served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Preceding him in death are Georges parents and loving wife Betty Sue Brown Stansbury. He is survived by his children, Keith (Erika) Stansbury and Mark (Alison) Stansbury; his grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Brandon, Christa, Morgen, Samantha, and Virginia; his great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Novella, Nahlia, and Skylar; and many other loved ones and friends. A Graveside service will be held on 22, 2017 at 1 PM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Tim Wolfe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Purple Heart s at P.O.
