She was born 26, 1920 in Baltimore, MD to Katharine Koons Young and Charles Young. She was married to Henry Howard Standish on 4, 1955. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Carol S. Miller of Smithfield, VA, Julie S. Petroff of Concord, NC; her five grandchildren, James Edmund, Emma Josepha, Daniel Keegan, Neil Howard, Joseph Standish, one great-grandchild and one more to arrive in May. She was preceded in death by her husband Major Henry Standish, III, and five siblings. The celebration of her life took place , 6, 2010 at McEwen Service Derita Chapel with The Reverend Mike Farley officiating. Burial will take place 14, 2010 in Arlington National .
