Obituary: It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Amy Elizabeth Squire. A devoted wife, a spectacular Mom, a doting Gramma, a caring and professional nurse, and a loving friend, Amys body and soul are finally free from a disease that she refused to let define her. She passed away peacefully in the arms of family at 5:00 a.m. on 30, 2015. We e celebrating 63 years of her beautiful life. Amy thrived in her professional calling as a Registered Nurse, always striving to learn more. She earned her Bachelor of Science in at 59 years, and at the time of her death was one year away from becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Amys passion and love were demonstrated daily with patients and colleagues she served at the Catawba Valley Medical . Wherever she went in Western New York or Conover, NC, Amy touched peoples lives with the heart of an angel. Amy continues to watch over her husband Dave (Conover, NC) and their faithful beagle companion, Snoopy. Her love lives on in the lives of her son Marc Squire and girlfriend Kristelle Goulias; her son Ryan and wife Tandi Squire; and her three precious grandchildren, Will and Anna Squire and Anderson Musuraca. Amy loved flowers - but she would want you to plant them in your own garden to brighten your day. In lieu of services, please share your love, photos and fond memories of how Amy brought light into your life with your friends and family. Amys favorite thing to say was, Isn that beautiful. Obituary: Inez Hannah Spurrier, 82, passed away on 27, 2016 at her Charlotte home. She was a native of Montgomery and the daughter of the late John and Mae Hannah. A career homemaker, Mrs. Spurrier worked briefly at Montgomery Hospital; S & W Cafeteria; Westerly Hills Elementary School cafeteria and in childcare. She was a life-long member of several churches in Montgomery , the most recent at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Biscoe. She was a proud and active member of the Harding High School Athletic Booster Club from 1980 to 2005. She is survived by her husband, Joe J.B. Spurrier; daughters, Lorraine Benfield and spouse Jeff, of Charlotte; Suzette Leonard and spouse Al, of Tabor City; grandchildren, Clint McGinnis, Tiffany Long, Hannah Leonard, Abigail Leonard; great grandchildren, Parker Long, Avery Long and MaKayla McGinnis. services will be held at 2:00pm , 29, 2016 in The Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Reverend Jeff Pinkston officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West . In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Novant Hospice & Palliative , P O Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233. are in the care of Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
