Obituary: Lydia Nicole Snyder, 32, of Greensboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on 16, 2014. Lydia was born 4, 1982 in New York City to Barry Claude and Joyce Stewart Snyder. Lydia was homeschooled 1st through 12th grade. She went on to attend High Point University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.. She was getting her Masters Degree from Liberty University in Psychology, with an emphasis in counseling where she sought to become a professional mentor for others. She was a sales representative of One Better Advertising based out of Minnesota. Lydia is survived by her parents, Barry and Joyce Snyder of Greensboro; one sister, Abigail Ruth Snyder of New York City; three brothers, Benjamin Ben Claude Snyder of Austin, TX, Gabriel Glenn Snyder of Cary and Michael Stewart Snyder of Greensboro. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Martha Yarborough Snyder of High Point and 11 first cousins. Lydias favorite hobby was reading the Bible. She read her Bible every morning, and would send out scripture verses in a text to her friends and family. She started and lead a Bible study called Date Night with God where she challenged women to see that Jesus Christ is their first love. In Lydias spare time she babysat her girlfriends children.. She always opened up her home for others. She was musically gifted in guitar, piano, and singing. She wrote a womans devotional book to help women seek the Lord. She cherished traveling, coffee, her cowboy boots, reading the Bible, and investing in relationships. She could make you feel like you were the only person in the room. services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27410 conducted by Pastor Bill Goans and Pastor J.B. Nicholson. The family will receive friends at Grace Community Church, 643 W. Obituary: Lois Maxine Snyder, of Charlotte, NC, passed away afternoon, 2, 2013, at Carolinas Medical -Northeast in Concord, surrounded by her loving and supportive family. She was 75 years old. Born 9, 1938 in Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Snyder was a daughter of the late William MacDonald Penninger and Annie Virginia Baker Penninger. She retired in 1997 from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools after 12 years of service, where she worked in the print shop. She was a member of East Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 34 years, James Carlton Snyder, and by her two brothers, Bobby Ray Baker and David Wayne Penninger. She is survived by her two children, Sherry Snyder Blalock and her husband, Mark, of Locust, and James C. Snyder, Jr. and his partner, Ben Crosby, of Rock Hill, SC; three sisters, Marlene Klutz of York, SC, Levonne Cunningham of Midland, and Sheila Robinson of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Amanda Brock and her husband, Harley, of Locust, and Paul L. Stallings, Jr. and his wife, Jade, of Albemarle; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Brock, Mackenzie Brock, and Scarlett Stallings. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3 until 4 pm , 6, at McEwen Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 4 pm in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Steve Triplett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
