Obituary: Lisa Ellen Smith passed away on Palm , in her Raleigh home, surrounded by friends and family. Preceded in death by her beloved mother, the late Eleanor Joan Weissengruber; her grandmother Weissengruber, stepmother, Jackie Smith; and brother, Terry Brennon, Lisa is survived by her father, Donald Norman Smith; brother, Mark David Smith; sister, Jennifer Leslie Smith and siblings by marriage: Kathy Gagliardi; Mike, David and Tommy Brennon; Doug Green; Kathy Ray; Tammy Blythe; Donalds current wife, Bobbie Sue Smith; and eleven nieces and nephews. Born in Buffalo, NY, she graduated from Niagara Wheatfield high school in Sanborn, NY. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh. years of kitchen work in area restaurants, Lisa created her own housecleaning, professional organizing, and holiday decorating business. Best known for her caring commitment to friends and neighbors, Lisas festive holiday and special occasion lights delighted all who passed by. She never met a stranger and her door was always open. Her nonjudgmental compassion provided a safe space for people to come and be themselves. She also enjoyed a special relationship with her cat, Clyde, who lived with her for 21 years. Lisa and her family extend gratitude to many people, including benefit donors, Dr. Jeremiah Boles and Ashley Bragg, PA, of Rex Cancer , Tres Chicas, Caroline Mamoulides, Chrystal Bartlett, Greg Eades, Renee Deininger, Joe Rimbey, Jeannette Rogers, Wendy Kanable, Ginna Browning, and K. Scalf. Lisas funeral takes place at 2:00 p.m., , 28th at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 219 Hillsborough St. in Raleigh with visitation preceding the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, N.C. Flowers are welcomed and may be sent to Brown-Wynne , 300 St. Marys Street Raleigh, N.C. 27605. Obituary: Mrs. Linda Drue Clark Smith, 76, of Morganton, passed away on , 9, 2021 at her residence, following a period of declining health. Linda was born on 17, 1944 in Burke to the late William Taft Clark and Fannie Brittain Clark. She was formerly employed in the textile industry as a knitter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Smith, and seven siblings; Jessie Arney, Vestus Bollinger, Sanford Clark, Wilma Clark, Raymond Clark, Ted Clark and Frank Clark. Survivors include her four children; Pamela Moody, Joseph Beck, Holly Hanley and Jason Beck, one brother, Taft Clark Jr., and a sister Reba Blankenship. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Lindsey Drue Billings, Ian Beck, Matoska Russell, Tara Beck, Garrett Hanley, Ravin Russell, and Jack Jack Beck, great-great grandchildren; Szimon Lee, Meshia Lee, Skyleigh Ann Billings, LAcey Russell, Kai Morris and Cedar Morris, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. |
